I just wanted to say that I'm happy to be able to get my e-mail again...I'm at the beach right now on vacation ( I've been here about 2 1/2 weeks), and I just got Internet access at the public library...I'll be here until July 30, so I won't be able to chack my e-mail much until then...Now, here's the Jewel content: I got the copy of Teen People with Jewel in it, and I must say that the article on Jewel is one of the longest I've seen...They picked some really good poems of hers to features, and they have tons of really good pictures of her, too -- I went to a rock n roll shop and they had 2 posters of Jewel and a concert video...All I got was 1 poster...It was Jewel at the American Music Awards...The other poster was the one I really wanted, but they only had one copy left, and it was stapled to the ceiling...I was tempted to tell them to pull it off of the ceiling, but it was torn in a few places, so I decided not to get it...It was of her playing guitar...The video was a bootleg called Save Your Soul...It was 2 hours long...It was 25 dollars, so I decided not to get it -- I must say that I'm disappointed in the FANatic show...I bet the fan has fun, but they only feature a few minutes of the artist, and that's if we're lucky! -- The one show I really look forward to is the Oprah show, because the whole show is dedicated to Jewel? -- Are there any EDAs in North Carolina or in the Southeast area? I live in NC, and most of the people I talk to live in NY or CA or somewhere like that? OK, I'm getting over the FANatic thing, but, I became aware of something a day or two that made the disappoint a little larger. I'm 15, and when we all first learned that Jewel was going to be on FANatic I went to the MTV FANatic homepage, where it said absolutely nothing about age limitations when entering the 'contest'. I'm not bitter, but I'm just saying that the let down would have been considerably less had I known that I never even had a chance. And I might be mistaken, but they didn't put up the 'must be 17 or older' rule on the website until a couple days ago, and when I talked to Rachel she didn't mention the age thing, either.
