But bored with music, she has put together a volume of poetry instead. She displays the songwriter's flair for occasionally-arresting soundbite images. In Wild Horse, for example, "I'd like to paint my poems/ with desert tongued clay/ across/ your back". But a pretty image does not a poem make.
