I'm just wondering about the track "Under The Water" on the sound track of the film "The Craft". I haven't actually looked at a tracklisting on the CD case itself, but several record clubs and also a few Jewel discographies attribute this song to Jewel. Which is cool, because the record's already cool for having a Beatles song covered by OLP... so it's beginning to suggest itself to me as a record that I should at least tell my sister to buy... BUT... CDNOW has this convenient feature that lets you listen to clips from some of their CDs in RealAudio. I went there to check it out and see what this song was like... and... uh... that is SO not Jewel... But is it? I mean it SAYS it's Jewel... what's going on? | Jesse Dangerously http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/~ad309 | subterranean seraph 16 Trust Everyone | ad309@chebucto.ns.ca Ekam Sat, Viprah Bahudha Vadanti | ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Jun 1998 19:01:00 EDT From: MAXMOUZE@aol.com Subject: Re: Jewel Poetry Contest Yeah, I didn't like the word limit. The first time I went it said 10-100 words and I struggled to make a poem. I finally made an excellent one and cut it down to 100. Then I saw it was 75 and I had to once again cut it down, and it was scrapped together and didn't run as smoothly. I will be mad if they don't count the words and the winner has 150 words or so. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Jun 1998 19:59:33 EDT From: KNicky3116@aol.com Subject: Walden Book Report Hello everyone! I've been on the list for sometime now but I've never written anything. I have many reasons for not writing and I wont go into that, I just want to say that I envy all you american EDA:s that have met Jewel and/or been at EDA gatherings. I visited Crashboys homepage and read about Jewelstock and Bearsville and I really wished I was there.... I have just received the CD version of A night without armor and it is so lovely, I have become more emotional all because of Jewel. I've been raised to become a cynic, but listening to Jewels lyrics and reading her poems have made me a better person. I have learned to feel and understand my emotions better and it's really nice, and I hope that I will become a better person and never harm anyone emotionally again. Because I have hurt so many people without understanding it. Well thats it for now, I hope I will write more in the future.. /Daniel "the angel from Sweden with a broken heart" Ödling ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Jun 1998 23:27:32 -0000 From: msinghaus@msmisp.com (Melissa Singhaus) Subject: Attention Newbies E-mail me if you are looking for anglefood. I had to really dig deep in my poem collection that was in the word limit. Not to mention Ihad to really change the visual effects of it as well because of the layout when you actually summitted the poem. But oh well, I guess they had to have some sort of guide lines.
