Hi Folks! I just bought a new VCR and had my double tape player fixed from the dubbing I took on a few months back. I am now ready to test out and celebrate by offering Angel Food to Newebies only! You veterans have enough for now and obviously know where to get more with a snap of the fingers. I know what it was like to not know where to go or how to do trades, so this is for the new people on the list. Just e-mail me with "Angel Food List Request" in the subject. I will then send you a list of my Jewel tapes and videos with instructions for trading or sending blanks. I will only take up to 20 people for now (unlimited number of copies), so if I don't reply back to you, it's because you didn't make the cut.. You should go get it if you want. Find a place that sells LP's and either buy it if they have it or ask them to order it. Y~ung. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Jun 1998 21:57:42 EDT From: TJtalken@aol.com Subject: Jewel Movie + new LRT's I really would like to say I appreciate Charlie checking up on those KC Star articles as I've been so seriously lacking in my movie updates, but I did some research that he could not do. :-) I went down to one of the filming sites, Watson Mill Historical Site and interviewed the workers there about what it was like to have the movie persons come in. I spoke with the head of the tour groups. She told me about how amazed she was at all the different persons working that the lawn there was just covered with everyone you can imagion for a movie set. There is a law in Missouri that the movie can not close down a historical site for filming so that they could continue doing tours. They had trouble doing that though because no one was allowed to talk anywhere near the site (a silent historical tour?). The scene they shot where I was at was a night one in a house the crew started filming at two in the afternoon and finished at one in the morning. Currently they are building a fake house and barns to set on fire for other scenes at this location. Later this month they are once again going to be filming for three or four days the buildings being set on fire. Another thought that is related is when I went outside not only were there so many butterflies outside that I could hardly see, but this is the year of the bugs in this area of the country. If you want me to explain the bugs you'll have to e-mail me privately but let me tell you it is *LOUD*!!! Standing still it sounded like ten babies crying! I'm not replying to any of these messages individually so I hope all concerned read this--YES, Jewel signed all those "plates" that were attached to copies of her book at the various Virgin Megastores. And to the senselessly angry people who felt the need to write me personally about the legal ramifications in an accusatory manner... learn how to write in a friendly manner! Otherwise, you already know what I think you can do with your copies! ;-) Onto another timely issue-- Much to my surprise, I'm told theres been a very small response of EDA input about live Jewel chats in the future. To those who did take the time to reply, THANK YOU. I'm told a few good ideas have been sent in & that more feedback is welcome for a limited time. Again, if you have any constructive ideas on how to improve online chats with Jewel, please read the repeated message that follows this post (below) & follow the email instructions. They (Jewel's management) ARE interested & do read them as long as you focus on the Live Chat issue only. This opportunity will be over in a few days so please contribute your intelligent feedback. They do care what The EDAs think about this issue! :-) Cindy Lee Berryhill will be doing a one off "Mini-Garage Orchestra Living Room Gig" on Thursday July 9th in Los Angeles. It will take place at a friend of CLB's house on Venice Beach at 8PM. This should be an amazing gig & I can't encourage "L.A. area EDAs" enough to attend this!! For those already familiar with the various Garage Orchestra personnel, you're in for a special treat at this gig. CLB's extraordinary cellist Renatta Bratt will be rejoining the G.O. (for the first time since 1996) at this one off gig! As with many LRT gigs, attendance is limited, so you must contact paul@cdaddy.com for RSVPs & directions. If you live in the Los Angeles vicinity, then you're invited to this intimate private gig. :-) MrBB PS. The original instructions about Live Chat Feedback: Hi all, Knowing The EDAs are some of Jewel's most intelligent & thoughtful fans, Jewel's management are interested in the EDAs opinions on how best to improve live Jewel chats in the future. We all know the drawbacks of the formats used by AOL & Yahoo on the past two chats. In your opinion, how could these be improved & what would make them more enjoyable for you? We have set up a special address to send your thoughtful constructive suggestions to. Please do not use this to rant or simply criticize what's been done in the past, but please do send any helpful suggestions. Thoughtful suggestions will be considered. IMPORTANT!!! DO NOT simply reply to this message! Send your suggestions regarding Live Jewel Chats to: ChatFeedbk@aol.com Thanks, MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Jun 1998 20:33:59 -0700 (PDT) From: justin priestley <_jugger_@rocketmail.com> Subject: [none] Does anyone know if Jewel is ever coming out to Australia. Both the Conan O'Brien show and Letterman approached her about being on their shows this month, but from what I was told, she didn't commit to the shows. I figure it was due to the movie filming, being so close to the end of it (filming supposed to wrap in July), she's probably too busy with it to break away during the week.
