Hi Just wondering if anyone has actually sent Jewel a letter and got a personal response from her. I sent one to her at the address on the CD Pieces of you and I got a response from the people who check her mail. I think she's the greatest and if anyone has actually gotten a response from her I would love it if you could let me know what the best way to get her to read my mail would be. Please email jmckenzi@idigital.net Thank you very much! Re the autograph debate- I've met Jewel a few times and had a few things autographed by her, and they looked pretty different, its easy to tell the ones she has done when she has a little time vs. the ones she was rushing to sign (if you get one after a show like with a big crowd up at the stage it will usually look like a scrawled jewl but if she is in a more relaxed place it looks nice. so depending on her mood an time frame, the autos in the books could look pretty different. also, i dont think it would be unrealistic to think she signed 1000 or so copies, if you try to write your name fast you can do a hundred in like15 minutes, plus she only writes her first name. Are a lot of EDA's entering the tv.gen contest- it would be cool if we had a few of us in the finals. if youre gonna enter it, send me your name and ill post them all (all the poems would be too much) so we can root for eachother. the deadline is tues day i think- peace- Lone Wolf ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Jun 1998 22:10:28, -0500 From: XHEC07C@prodigy.com (MISS JENNIFER M AISTROPE) Subject: contest? If I remember correctly, she told the story before she sang; the song bagan with a guy sitting alone in a bar on a cold winter night. I heard this one at the first (or was it the second) Wikiup show and never heard her play it again to this day (I've seen her five times since then). If anyone has either of the two Wikiup shows on tape, please let me know. I remember that there was a person there with a tape recorder at the second show... >> What song is this? I don't think I've even ever heard of it? So if anyone knows..please let me know.
