Hiya all EDAs!

If any aussie EDAs want a copy of that biography about Jewel GUESS WHAT! 
I walked into the English staffroom at school and gave them a cheap 
laugh when a yr 12 student asked for a copy of Star Bookclub's 
magazzine. Well it's $5 plus postage (in Oz ONLY though). So it's 
probably closer to $6-7 for everyone in Oz. Please mail me if you want 
it ordered, it usually takes a few months.

For American EDAs, it will probably cost $6 US, since our currency just 
exploded. This includes the postage cost of about $5 depending on where 
you live. For english EDAs it comes to 4 pounds. So work it out from 
there. 

Mail me if you're interested.

Note: Scholastic operates in Canada, NZ and italy if it is cheaper for 
you to order it thru them.

Hey Guys..
I'm still having a little trouble getting a sufficient number of E.D.A's in
my chat room.  I'ts difficult for me to arrange a chat schedule because I
can't chat in the evenings (which I'm sure is the preferred time for most
E.D.A's) I have computer access during the day time on most days (That's
British Standard Time which I think is 2 hours BEHIND American EST)......so
I'm in a real pickle!!!!  Can anyone help me??? I'd love some feedback!!!
The chat room is currently open 24 hours a day everyday and it would be
GREAT if I could have some E.D.A's in there all day every day!!!!  If
anyone has any suggestions they would be very much appreciated!!!

Hi All,
    Yesterday afternoon I sent the airdate for The Oprah
show to the list, but for some unknown reason it only
hit Jewel-news & not the regular list. 
    For those confused, although the show is being taped
in Chicago today, it will not be broadcast until Monday
June 22nd. You'll need to check your local listings for
exact times & channels in your area.
     The plan for this show is to divide it up into three
major segments.
     The first segment will concentrate on Jewel's music
& SHE WILL PERFORM. 
      The second segment will concentrate
on her poetry & ANWA. Quite likely she'll read a few poems
as well as discussing the role writing plays in her life.
       The 3rd segment will feature both Jewel & Lenedra
together discussing thier relationship & various plans
for the future.
        As we all know, plans sometimes change, but thats
the basic idea/layout for The Oprah show.
         Considering the entire hour will be devoted to
Jewel, this should be quite a nice show with something
for everybody. This will also be the first major TV appearance
for Lenedra, who usually stays behind the scenes, but is
really Jewel's partner in everything, as well as being her
mom & manager. 

         If any EDAs actually attend the taping today, please

	Nice to see that no-one whole-heartedly considered the book 
nasty... I wonder how exactly the half vote came about?  Still, of course 
it isn't "nasty"... I mean there are two ways I can think of to take 
that.  One is mean-spirited or malicious, and while there are a few poems 
in there that weren't exactly valentines, they were more unhappy than 
nasty...
	The other way is as in sexually explicit, and just referring to 
sex as "nasty" makes me roll my eyes, violently, and groan.  For one 
thing, there are very few poems in there that are explicit in ANY way, 
it's mostly wrapped up in metaphors and all that... I'm pretty certain 
all the erotic stuff is that way... nothing pornographic, anyway.  To 
suggest that it's "nasty" based on those things... well it bugs me.  
Didn't we have a sexual revolution?  I know the advertising industry
misinterpreted it, but it DID happen, right?  Sex is good, remember?
	Of course, that's not directed at anyone who voted... or at 
Diana, either, since I don't think any of you actually consider it nasty, 
do you? ^_^

	Guh, now this is a concept I am NOT in tune with.  Age 
restrictions.  Maybe it's just because I'm bitter about my favorite 
artists always playing licensed venues (and I'm still only 18), but I 
have a lot of trouble with the notion that you can standardize human 
exposure by age... like once you're 19, cigarettes and booze can't hurt 
you anymore... like until you're 21, sexual content will warp your brain 
and grow you up into a deviant.
	Until you're 11/12/13/14/15/16, mildly erotic poetry will somehow 
harm you..?  There's no age a child should read this book.  Anyone who 
wants to read A Night Without Armor should pick it up, open it and 
endeavor to do so.  If they're six, they won't even GET the erotic 
metaphors.  And if they're ten, maybe they will and you know what?  It 
won't give them STDs or get them pregnant.  Either they'll enjoy it (and 
it's positive, so they SHOULD enjoy it) or they'll say "Eww!" and go away 
to grow up some more.
	You know what I mean?  Respond privately, of course, unless it's 
a suitable public address... ^_^

hi everyone....

Just wondering if any of you guitar players out there have figured out 
how to play "Winter Song". I sat down with my guitar and figured out a 
few parts, but there are so many little hammer-ons and small chord 
changes that it's hard to learn it just by watching the video. I'm sure 
there's some of you out there who have a more complete version.

As for what I figured out, here it is: the song is played with a capo on 
the 2nd fret, and the main chords used are G, C(add9), C, F, and Am. 
There may also be a C/B and G/B in there somewhere too.

So anyway, if anyone has a more complete version, please let me know... 
I love that song!!!
