Jeremy Falcone ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 May 1998 21:26:05 -0500 (EST) From: Sean Hooks Subject: Without You By My Side lyrics I'll post this to the list just to give Jamie some support because she is right, despite what some posted versions of the lyrics might say. After listening to this song numerous times from a couple of version, the line is definitely and positively "Sleepy red wine kisses." Listen for yourself, it's not "sweet." Was just curious if anyone here is going to head out Friday morning to try and acquire Jewel passes at 9am. If so, I'm heading in from New Jersey so if anyone needs a ride or just wants some company, depending on where you live(and how early you are willing to get up) I'd be happy to pick you up and head into the city to wait on line. I'm a veteran EDA so my credentials speak for themselves, just so you know I can be trusted and counted on. If anyone is interested email me at SHOOKS@drew.edu or contact me at (973)408-5581 if you want to talk to me in person.I just thought it'd make the time go a little faster if I wasn't going in by myself. Be well, Sean Hooks ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 May 1998 22:07:30 EDT From: ABershaw Subject: NJC- To Cindy Lee Berryhill Philadelphia fans Hi, Cindy Lee Berryhill just called to alert any Philly folks about a schedule change there. Once again the Campbell Inn will be open for business to accommodate those interested in attending the East Coast EDAF kickoff event!!! For those of you who don't know, the EDAF (EveryDay Angels Foundation) is a nonprofit organization set up to primarily promote volunteerism in the communities. It is a separate entity from the Jewel list, but was inspired by Jewel and the list. For more info on the EDAF, visit the page at http://web.edaf.org/edaff/ or e-mail me at Tlcathome@aol.com with EDAF in the subject.. We will be volunteering at the FoodBank of New Jersey's warehouse on Saturday May 30th from 10am to 2pm. We are opening our home to wayward EDA's who plan to attend the event. However, space is limited and we expect a big turnout! Plan to bring pillows and sleeping bags and/or blankets. You must attend the FoodBank activity in order to take part in the rest of the weekend's events! If you can't attend the event, please volunteer at a food bank or soup kitchen in your own area - and e-mail me and let me know you're doing it!!!!. If you need help locating a food bank in your area, check out this site's food bank locator: http://www.secondharvest.org/websecha/f_getouc.htm - if you don't have web access, just let me know and I'll see if I can find one for you!!!! We will also be doing a mini food drive, so please plan to bring at least a little something to donate. They are in need of high protein canned foods in particular, such as canned meats, etc... I will keep everyone posted as to their donation needs as I contact them again. We will also be delivering the food obtained from the food drive my brownie troop will be doing in their school. Sometime after that on Saturday, the plan is to go to FunTime America and be juvenile and play video games, lazertag, ride bumper cars - whatever everyone wants to do there :-) There MAY even be a show by an EDA in the living room at some point during the weekend. Then back to the Campbell Inn for the night. So far nothing is planned for Sunday (unless we do the LR show then), but that could always change..... If you are interested or have questions, please respond to Tlcathome@aol.com with EDAF weekend in the subject. You can get more information about the food bank at http://www.njfoodbank.org/ Tammy :-) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V3 #261 ***************************
