It's 5:51am over here on the West Coast and I couldn't sleep so I was watching VH1 and not really paying attention when I heard Who Will Save Your Soul and I popped my head up and there was Jewel. It one of THOSE commercials (you know, the one's that always end with a blue screen and a big 800 number and saying, "..pay with Visa, Mastercard, check or money order..") and it was advertising a 2-CD (I think it was two) or 4-cassette compilation of the most influential women in rock. And Jewel is included with Who Will Save Your Soul. I didn't catch the phone number or the address, or even anyone else who's on that CD for that matter. Other than Salt n' Pepa. But my point is, if you're interested, start watching VH1 for the commercial. If I catch the commercial again, I'll post the info to the list for all ye to behold. The are really good copies (just 2-3 generations from the original tape by the time it gets to you, which is better than the majority of other trades). All it involves is signing up and sending a blank tape and a SASE to your assigned "branch", once it gets started.
