Is she starring opposite Skete Ulrich? Is it a civil war drama? Is she making a theme song or some other songs for the soundtrack of the film? Secondly, I have been searching *everywhere* for a tab of Fragile Heart. Anyone know where I might be able to find that piece? Thanks a million, Yodeler Angel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Apr 1998 16:46:06 -0700 (PDT) From: Maxine Langlois Subject: Intimate and Interactive on Much Music Dear EDA's, I've noticed that a lot of people are interested in Much Music Jewel appearances. Other than the spotlight, there is another performance called Intimate and Interactive. It was once broadcasted but I know many of you would like to see it again to maybe help someone's Angelfood collection grow. It is a really nice show...So if you guys would like Much Music to re-broadcast it, please e-mail me with your name and e-mail adress. My purposes are to sorta get a petition going in hopes to convince Much Music to play it again. Thanks! *Maxine The AnGeL with no more money ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Apr 1998 17:50:43 -0400 From: "The Agnostic Angel" Subject: Jewel's attitude; was: Re: ??? $10.00 for an autograph ??? I personally have no problem with Jewel's attitude, perhaps because I have an attitude myself. Those around me know that I'm only joking around with my attitude, though, so they're ok with it. I think that if the people Jewel maybe was snobbish to (or whatever they claim she acted as) actually knew Jewel personally, they would realize that she is only joking around, and mocking those with real attitude problems. heh. Anyway, there's my input. : ) BTW, I'm trying to collect EDA poetry to put up on m'webpage. If you have any you would like to share, send them to me with the subject "EDA Poetry" Thanks! BTW #2, I found my Jewel Song Book, and I am beginning to make the MIDI for Angel Standing By now. : ) It'll take a while...the song is longer than I thought. ^_^ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Apr 1998 19:42:36 EDT From: MAXMOUZE Subject: PROJECTS (including EDA Cover Tape 2) - Please read OK, I am currently working on two problems. But, both projects need YOUR help. The first one is the EDA Cover Tape 2. This is the second EDA Cover Tape. The first one came out last year and was done by Eric Montas. It was a good success and a wonderful addition to Angelfood. With more EDAs, this is another chance for them to show off their singing skills. If you want to sing a Jewel song for the tape, please e-mail me and tell me what song(s). So far, five tapes have been submitted and they are all very incredible. The second project is "THE JEWEL KILCHER INTERPRETATION PAGE". The aforementioned page in which a group of EDAs research songs as to find background information, stories that Jewel tells before the songs, Angelfood and promos that the song can be found on, as well as an interpretation of the song (both paragraph and line-by-line). If you are interested in being part of this page, e-mail me and tell me WHY and WHAT YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE. Also, if anyone is really good at homepage designing & creating, please e-mail me as well. That's all, folks. Thanks for reading. I don't know the whole story behing this $10 thing, but I think its a bunch of bunk myself. I don't think Jewel would deny anybody an autograph as long as they were kind and civil about it, and as long as she wasn't preoccupied with something else, even then, i think she would probably do an autograph. In my line of business, I sell autographed sports memorabilia. For the most part, sports celebrities will sign autographs without charge. Usually, the only time a celebrity charges for their signature is when it isn't really up to them anyhow. Often times a signing will occur, where a place such as the Chicago Sun Times will pay say Michael Jordan $100,000 to do a 2 day signing at the Rosemont Horizon. In turn, you as a sports enthusiast will pay your $7 to get into the Rosemont, and then pay the $35 for a flat, or $75 for a ball, or whatever the pricing may be. Basically, the only reason you are being charged is so that the Chicago Sun Times can recoup the $100,000 it cost them to have Michael Jordan stick around for those 2 days, and obviously, so they can sell memorabilia. If the $10 thing has any truth to it, I think it was probably for this reason. I highly doubt Jewel would charge $10 for her autograph. I'm sure it was probably a somebody else that told JoeBlowFromMexico that it would cost $10 for the autograph. Just my thoughts.... joe ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Apr 1998 21:01:57 EDT From: Skye O1 Subject: piano music alot of people have been asking for piano music on jewel. well after spring break is over, i will have the sheet music to foolish games. if anyone wants a copy e-mail me privatley. as soon as iget it i will post again. skye the cheerio eating angel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Apr 1998 20:54:28 EDT From: Skye O1 Subject: 2 questions 1)today while i was listeing(?) to the radio, they had a news section, and it said that jewel's poetry book was coming out may 19. i thought it was coming out on mother's day. 2)also on the broadcast it said that jewel and flea were going to try and do something together in december, does (mr.bb?mike?)anyone know anything about it? skye the cheerio eating angel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Apr 1998 22:06:37 EDT From: ABershaw Subject: MrBB-Re: 2 questions Hello, In a message dated 4/14/98 9:53:25 PM, Skye asked: <<1)today while i was listeing(?) to the radio, they had a news section, and it said that jewel's poetry book was coming out may 19. i thought it was coming out on mother's day.>> ***May 19th is correct. <<2)also on the broadcast it said that jewel and flea were going to try and do something together in december, does (mr.bb?mike?)anyone know anything about it?>> ***There has been talk of Flea joining in for Jewel's next album sessions & I'd think it's very likely. Flea has enjoyed recording with Jewel before during those notorious Bearsville 96 sessions. He's also performed live with Jewel on the Letterman Show & as recently as this past New Years Eve gig. Any long-time EDAs please help me out. :) Jewel has one full-length album: - - Pieces of You The Japanese version of POY contains new artwork and bonus tracks (YWMFM, Emily). The vinyl record contains four bonus tracks: Cold Song, Rocker Girl, Angel Needs a Ride and Everything Breaks. She also has several singles: - - Foolish Games (FG, Angel Needs a Ride, Everything Breaks) - - Who Will Save Your Soul (WWSYS, Emily, POY) - - You Were Meant For Me (YWMFM, Cold Song, Rocker Girl) The YWMFM single is from England and Germany; the FG one is from Germany. There's also an Autralian version, I believe. I'm not sure where WWSYS is from. My copy has writing on teh CD in English, French and German, but no country name. It notes that Emily is from the movie "The Crossing Guard." There are other versions of these singles. Apparently there is a version of the YWMFM single with a different cover. There's also a single that has YWMFM and FG on it from the US. I'd be sincerely surprised if anyone remembered me, but I use to be on this list a loooong time ago. I have to tell you , it's good to be back. I've already seen a few familliar faces, but not as much as I'd hoped. I wonder if Igor is still around. :-) Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and ask a couple of questions. I noticed Mike had mentioned that Jewel ran into Nikos recently? Well lordy, are there any more details. I appologize if that is old news, but it's not in the FAQ. Umm, were the Jewelstock tapes ever treed? If so are there any lovely souls that feel like doing a stranger a favor? <:-D Just before I unsubbed last time a couple of EDA's started a book reading list. Is that list still around? Anyone know? Again, it's really great to be back, I remember the Jewel list being a colaberation of only the finest people on the net, I'm glad to see it hasn't changed and I'm looking forward to it's future. People mention Maxell XL II, but I've heard mention of XL IIS. I haven't seen any of those. What's the difference in terms of quality and price? And does anyone know wher you can buy a whole bunch of tapes at once (say, 20)? Perhaps something like price club. Right now I paid C$8.50 for five XL II tapes. - - Dubbing. I know high speed dubbing is a bad thing. :) What about using noise reduction -- Dolby B or C? And I've noticed most dual casette decks don't seem to say anything about Normal/Cro2/Metal.
