I'm trying to go from standard tuning to open D tuning, such as what she uses on "Near You Always." Is there any way to tune down to this tuning using other strings as guides? (Like the 5th fret method in standard tuning) Thanks for any help. KC ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 09 Apr 1998 17:02:31 -0700 From: "Larry S. Among other things, I had a chance to personally pick up a copy of the UK import of PoY for an exhorbitant 18 pounds, but it was worth it for the very convenience of having the released tracks of YWMFM and FG on the same CD as the rest of the songs, along with the cover shot, which was already my favorite pic of Jewel. I'd like to thank everyone for keeping the volume down to 300 in two weeks(or should I be thanking Mike??? ;) ); I took a three day vacation last summer and had 600 waiting for me when I got back, so I think that says a lot about whatever this "succinctness" can be attributed to. I apologize for my grammar mistake, and keep up the good work-- maybe one day we'll only get one email a day to tell us everything. So I decided to post something to get some questions of mine cleared up. 1. In some tape I have, Jewel says she alwyas flares her nose when she tunes her guitar, but I never noticed it. So I scrutinized every video I have and didn't see it once.....has anyone else noticed this? 2. I was watching Pop Up Video and in it, it says that she went to an art school in some random state when she was 16. But she never mentions it. All I have heard was that after she was born, she went to Alaska, then Hawaii, then San Diego. But nothing else. Any info would be helpful. - -Rebecca, The Bored Angel Who Wish She Really Did Have Butterfly Wings So She Could Go Out Tonight!!!!!!! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Apr 1998 19:49:27 -0500 From: twh662@juno.com (T H) Subject: Morning Song Single On Thu, 9 Apr 1998 18:31:47 EDT NiKoS 12 writes: >Hi-ya, > Ummm......I was wondering if any of u angels would be willing >to buy the >Morning Song Single and send it to me.
