Hi all you angels!! I have 3 more quick questions: 1) Are there any more Jewel song written for piano on the internet?? 2) If so what is the address?? 3) Is anyone willing to send me the info on the book of poems if they have it?? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Mar 1998 21:58:14 PST From: "Oink oink" Subject: Who's Lawrence Carroll? Hey there! I was hoping someone could answer this question for me. I was watching the YWMFM video the other day (the one with Steve Poltz) on MTV and as the video was ending, I looked at the credits and it said the director was Lawrence Carroll. He wouldn't have any relation to Jewel's mom Lenedra Carroll, would he? Just curious.... Love, Nancy, the angel who breaks everything sometimes, formerly known as Quinn due to paranoia. But as you can see, I'm over that. :P ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Mar 1998 05:45:42 PST From: "Maggan ." Subject: American Music Awards performing? Hello! Hello Angels, Last week I asked if anybody could confirm the re-release of the single You Were Meant For Me in The Netherlands (Holland). I got some mails from other angels who told me it is not right thinking there will be a re-release of it. It has happened guys! I did call Warner Music Benelux and they have confirmed the release of this "new" single. After some talking they even send me a free copy of it ...... Some sweathearts over there :-)) Even the radiostations in Holland (3FM and many others) are playing the song a lot. It's quiet unusual if you ask me but you won't hear me complain :-)) At the time I get the single (in the shops it's not arrived yet and the single of Warner will arrive today I think...) I'll tell you what the cover looks like and if it's different from the USA one. Warner and the shop I have been to were talking about a limited edition and I have no idea how many there will be set to the market (I didn't ask :-(( ) Hope this info will help our angels in the benelux (belgium, netherlands and luxemburg) to get there copy of this limited edition. Has this re-release something to do with Marketing Strategy? In my opinion it's everything to do with it! Does anyone know about this CD from CD-NOW? It's a Japanese re-issue containing 2 exclusive bonus tracks (Emily, You Were Meant For Me) & new artwork. It costs around $29.00. I want to get it, but I'm curious about the new artwork and the bonus track "YWMFM". Is this the radio edit version?? What new artwork is there? Please write back to me ASAP! Thanks mucho!!! Hello Angels :o) Today I went to a local Sam Goody here in NYC, and purchased Stevie's One Left Shoe, I also had gone to buy the Fleetwood Mac Tribute but was told it was pushed back till the 27th. :o( How many times is this thing gonna get postponed? Well, even though I couldn't buy the compilation, I still got to hear Jewel sing "You make loving fun" How you ask? Well as I was walking out of the mall I heard a familiar voice over the speakers, yup it was her. I stayed till the song was over... it sounds pretty good. :o) That's all from me, I'll be seeing yall later (especially anyone going to see Poltzie at the Mercuy Lounge) :o) The Quiet Angel Abel "I'm a sensitive man of the 90's sweetheart, who cares for your emotional being an awful lot" --Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Mar 1998 14:24:42 PST From: "ws r" Subject: SJC?:Green and blue Hey everyone, I don't write to the list often,(When I do it doesn't go through half the time due to problems with my comp.) But I thought I would write to ya'll to say Happy Saint Patricks day. (Hope you wore green!) The blue portion of the subject matter deals with the fact that my computer at home is having startup problems, so I can only get on the net at school, and due to my computer being under the weather, the only CD player in my house is now no longer working either.(I did have a portable but don't ask) So, now I cannot listen to any of my CD's, including POY(!!!!!) Which is the only Jewel music I have, so if anyone out there in computer land could tell me anything about computers, or if somone (Some daer sweet charitable soul) Could send me some angelfood it would be great. I'm willing to pay costs of tapes and shipping. Dear everybody, Of all the sites I've been to, everyone seems to have the same lyrics to Kiss Your Ass. Well, in the recording I have the lyrics are somewhat different. So here they are. Oh, and I'm 100% positive that the lyrics are correct, cause the recording is very clear. And if you use these lyrics on your web page, please give credit for the transcription to Ryan Doskocil. Thank you! Enjoy!! ~*~Kiss Your Ass~*~ Written by Jewel Kilcher. Transcribed by Ryan Doskocil. What time should I pick you up tonight To make me seem more respectable? What kind of flowers should I bring your mother To make me seem more delectable? I got no problem with family events I like lemonade, camping, kids, and tents I'll do anything you ask No matter the task My whole purpose in life is just to Kiss your ass. What kind of drugs should I take tonight To make me seem like I'm introverted? What kind of porn mags should I bring your brother To make me seem like I'm still perverted? I got no problem with family events I like lemonade, camping, kids, and tents I'll do anything you ask No matter the task My whole purpose in life is just to Kiss your ass. Teach me something I don't know, But I swear I'll be something someday. I strain my ears listening too hard to what you say. How many times should I cruise your block On my teensy red tricycle Screaming your name, sweetheart, in vain? This love stew has got me in a pickle. I got no problem with family events, I like lemonade, camping, kids, and tents I'll do anything you ask No matter the task You're just the director, baby, I'm the cast You can be a slut, and I will be chaste. 'Cause my whole purpose in life My whole purpose in life My whole purpose in life My whole purpose in life My whole purpose in life is just to Kiss your ass. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ That's it!! Just wanted to ask who is planning to go to the Belmar show here in Jersey on the 28th. We will once again be having a small before hand gathering at our house in Old Bridge, so if you're going and want to join us here, let me know :-) A small group of us have already reserved a table, so if you want to be added when I call the Java Hut back tomorrow, then let me know ASAP - right now the reservations for 8 that I made are all spoken for - The Java Hut doesn't normally take reservations, but reserved a table for me since it was a group, so your best bet is to get in on the group if you're planning to attend :-) They had no info other than the date of the show when I called, so after I call tomorrow, I'll post an update as to show time, cost, etc....
