I just watched my tape of the performance to make sure. Don't miss it. It's one of the few times (or only time) she sang that song on TV. I am here to tell you that I have heard from some of our older and wiser angels! Thank you to all who replied again! I actually heard from one of us going by the name Mykle and he is 48. He informed me however, that there is another angel going by the name Barry (the red&black angel) who is 56. I didn't hear from Barry, so I do not know if he is still with us, but I just think it is great that Jewel reaches to such a span. As Mykle pointed out, age is sometimes used to separate, but I was in no way intending on doing that. I just wanted to show the vast range that loves Jewel! We are all ONE big group even though our ages range from 11-56!! Peace! I was labeling my tapes this morning, and I have on my label "THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN - Matthew Perry; Jewel - Foolish Games" Mm__) NOTE FROM THE LIST MODERATOR: Jewel has appeared on Letterman TWICE with Matthew Perry. The first time was January 30th 1997, when she sang "Near You Always" VERY late in the show. From the Jewel@smoe list archives of 1997: LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, CBS Mo 1/27 David Schwimmer, Carmen Electra, Sheryl Crow We 1/29 Dan Rather, Jane Leeves, Tori Amos Th 1/30 Matthew Perry, Natasha Lyonne, ***JEWEL*** Since the Letterman website lists Matthew Perry, Natasha Lyonne and Jewel as the guests for the show on March 12th 1998, it looks like it's definetely a repeat of the show from 1/30/97 and "Near You Always" - Mike :-) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Mar 1998 23:00:34 EST From: Brandis850 Subject: Re: Yet another post ;) - Questions about her Singles In a message dated 98-03-01 16:59:00 EST, you write: << is the radio edit for "Who Will Save Your Soul" different in any way? >> Now that you mention it, I remember pointing out that it was different, but not lyric-wise. Live recording was at the Innerchange in San Diego and studio recording was done at Broken Arrow Ranch in Woodside, CA (which is, I think Neil Young's studio...).
