Whoever you were; does she sound good? And which of her CDs is the best? Someone also mentioned KACY CROWLEY. Has anyone heard her music yet, or know if her CD is good? Also, that forward, JUST DO IT, it was nice the first 2 times, but please, NO MORE for me! I don't want anything bad to happen to me, and I want my wishes to come true! And lastly, does anyone have any new picture locations that haven't been announced on the list yet? If anyone can answer any of these questions, please email me privately. Hi Angels, I would like to thank all the great angels that were ever so kind to me. This is why I stay on this list. I love you all. Thank all of you for your imput. I apreciate it very much. The "results" is that Jewel pre-recorded the anthem (i missed the 1st part of the song... so i couldnt see that little mistake) and she is an Alaskan. I think that Jewel wont be in playboy.. thats what I thought but not what i hurd. Anyways I just want to tell you that I love you very much. So once again im a happy Jewel fan, nothing changed cept You angels seem closer to me than ever :) - -Bryan An Angel underneath ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Jan 1998 21:44:40 EST From: HBANGER 70 Subject: superbowl can someone send me the superbowl appeance video hyperlink? i dont know how to find an exact adress? please ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Jan 1998 22:56:30 -0500 From: Burkeman Subject: Re: Yet another anthem observation At 07:31 PM 1/26/98 -0500, Gerry wrote: >I was rather taken by the irony and sadness of her appearance being sandwiched >by a flyover of the stunt performers called "The Blue Angels" (!) and that >multi-billion dollar (Stealth?) bomber. I understand that Jewel herself is >not at ease with the anthem in the first place, in that it glorifies war..... >Gerry > Gerry makes a lot of points here, but it's always been my understanding that the pregame rituals stand for some totally different things entirely. First of all the flyovers by the esteemed Blue Angels and the Stealth bomber. These, as well as other military symbols are not representative of war, but rather the absence of war, the fact that these two teams were playing here, in the United States of America, a land not involved in conflict, not invaded by a foreign country, because of those very symbols. In the past world championships of sports have been cancelled because our country was involved in war at the time. These symbols stand to remind us of the defense our country maintains and the safety of its citizens. Second of all, the anthem itself. I don't personally know Jewel's stance on it. The anthem, I understand, is played before sporting events to remind everyone of the freedoms that we all have, to participate or attend sporting events, and that men died for that freedom, for our country, for us. - -tim 'burkeman' ______ ____ ____ / ____/ / __ \ / | Tim Burke / __/ / / / / / /| | tb340297@oak.cats.ohiou.edu / /___ / /_/ / / ___ | /_____/ /_____/ /_/ |_| "I am a worm." -Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Jan 1998 23:31:12 EST From: Jay Dee 25 Subject: Favorite Jewel Songs Hi Everyone- I've been on the list for about a year now, and this is my first post(pretty pathetic, huh?)
