Just curiously, since I've been dubbing old Angelfood for new people, the last tape that was treed when I was on the list was "Jewel Rocks the Paradise," and I was wondering if there have been any new tapes mixed or treed since then, and if somebody would be so gracious as to make copies for me, perhaps? Thanks ahead of time. - -todd allyn werner http://www.geocities.com/hollywood/hills/4237 v523@academic.truman.edu "Get busy living, or get busy dying." ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 Jan 1998 16:39:45 -0600 (CST) From: Ray DeJean Subject: Re: Jewel singing at Super Bowl XXXII On Mon, 19 Jan 1998, Mike Connell wrote: > I think they were just joking around. Speaking of messing up royally, someone told me that the National Anthem at the superbowl is always pre-recorded, and is lip synched during the pre-game show. I told him i doubt it, but he insisted and i wasn't sure. Anyone know for sure? later! I'm sure there are a few. I'm Helen from Australia and was subscribed on and off again for about 18 months starting in 96. Well I thought I'd check out the list again now and see what was happening. I've been waiting for so long for Jewel to come to Australia and still there's no word. She's so popular here now compared to when I used to be subscribed and no one here had heard of her. She's on the radio all the time now, advertised on TV etc etc. How things change. For those who remember me and are interested, a lot of things have changed for me recently. I'm sadly getting a divorce so life has been tough lately. To cheer myself up I'm heading off for a big overseas trip, starting in America! That's right. I'm heading to Boston on March 10 and staying there with a friend for a couple of months, hoping to do some travelling around America before heading off to live and work in London for an indefinite period. There's nothing like a big adventure to help you get over some of life's traumas. I'm so excited. So I'm hoping there might be some EDA gatherings around the Boston/New York area that I can attend cos I'd really love to meet some of you. Anyone know of any happening between March and June??? It's nice to be back. I've been told that all three of the tracks that Jewel recorded with Steve have made the final cut & will be included on the CD tracklist. They are "Impalla", "I Thought I Saw You Last Night" & "Silver Lining". In addition, the title track, "One Left Shoe" is also a Poltz/Kilcher collaboration (although Jewel does not participate on the studio recording). Steve's CD "One Left Shoe" will be released by Mercury Records on March 3rd, 1997.
