Once on page 40... it doesn't say anything about her but there is a cute picture of her face and then once on page 88... it mentions stuff about her upcoming movie and a few other interesting things. I think it's worth checking out. Just thought I'd let you all know. :o) - -Stephanie- ************************************** Familiar acts are beautiful through love. - Percy Bysshe Shelley ************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Jan 1998 20:08:47 EST From: mermaid47@juno.com Subject: NJC: Houston? I decided that I should follow the group and share my Jewel story. So here it is. I, like many other people, was turned on to jewel after about the 3rd or so time of viewing wwsys on MTV. But it took me a while to really start to like her and her story. This past summer, over a year after I first hear of Jewel, one of my friends came to me and asked me if I wanted to go to the Lilith Fair in Shakopee Minnesota (Over a 7 hour drive, but well worth it!). At the time I didn't even know what that was, he explained that it was a whole bunch of different women artists all together in concert. I asked him who, and as soon as he said Jewel would be there, I said "hell yes I'll go...when do we leave." The Lilith fair was one of the most amazing things I ever witnessed, especially Jewel. Don't get me wrong, all the other artists were amazing, but I can remember Jewel's set like it was yesterday. I remember that the sun was setting right behind the stage(it was outdoors) when Jewel was up there, and she sang FG. All I could see was that amazing silhouette and all I could hear was that amazing voice running through my body. My eyes were glued on the stage 'cause I knew that I wouldn't get to see something that amazing many times in my life. I knew that there was something special about her music, and still today, I think about that picture I have in my mind of that time whenever I want to get away from where I am. My memory of it is so calm and peaceful that it lets me just relax, and forget about whatever is bothering me. Since the live experience, nothing else could compare, and I want to see her live again. I have been surfing the net for anything I can learn about her. And of course I have been reading all the EDA mail I have been receiving (keep it coming). But, hope I didn't bore you, if so I apologize. Thanks for reading my story. I should get some homework done tonite, so I will hear from you all later. Your Frozen Angel in South Dakota Tim Mentele mentelti@columbia.dsu.edu PS. I am still new, and looking for some angelfood. I have some stuff lined up, but would like as much as possible. Oh, and I haven't seen any other angels from South Dakota. Are there any out there? E-mail me for either. Later Angels! Take care, you are all a great bunch of people! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Jan 1998 20:26:41 EST From: Fabsurfgrl Subject: JC: Tabs to Quiet Warrior??? Just a quick post to request the tablature for guitar for "Quiet Warrior" as I have not seen it on any of the listed tab sights. Thanks! How's it going everyone? Anyway, I watched the PCAs and I was extremely disappointed when Jewel didn't win. All through the show my favorites had been winning and then it came to Favorite Female Musical Artist (or whatever it was called...) and I saw that she was up against Whitney Houston and I guess it was Reba McIntyre and even though both Whitney and Reba are extrodinary musicians, I thought Jewel had it in the bag!!!! Anyway, hope everyone is having a good day. Peace. Mary The Poetic Angel ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V3 #33 **************************
