Hi Everybody, I've got a question maybe somebody can answer. We all(for the most part) know about Jewel & the RugBurns are going to ring in the New Year at Hard Rock Las Vegas, but is the show going to be on T.V.? MTV nor VH1 are mentioning anything about a live simulcast...nothin'! Vh1 has John Mellencamp doin his thing for New Years Eve & Busta Rhymes is taking over MTVs New Years Eve party. Just wondering, cause if it is I really want to tape it!! Thats it for now. Just wanted to let eveyone know that I got the CD "Women and Songs" for Christmas, and it's really pretty good. It has the radio version of "Foolish Games" as the first song. There are a variety of great female singers, some not so great. Depends on your opinions. For anyone who already has this CD.....On the back cover, where it shows the list of songs and singers, Jewel's name is in yellow and everyone else's is in pink. Why is that? Did she have something to do with this CD or something? If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks. Keep smiling, and enjoy the simple pleasures of everyday life!:-) XOXXO, Shannon The Sunshine Angel ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Dec 1997 02:48:09 -0500 From: N4SIR@webtv.net (Donny Emmert) Subject: woodstock radio hello angels, i just checked out the latest buzz going thru the list and it is well worth your time...check out the songs "Here When Gone" and "Money"...awsome baby, way cool...can you record this on a diskette and save it so you can listen to it whenever you want to?...please e-mail me privately the answer...i don't have a comp, i have WebTv, but i go back to school and i can record it there on my friends comp if this is allowed....jewel said she wrote the song "WWSYS" for a man who was 28 and never stepped on grass in his bare feet before...that is a new explaination for her songwritting, i think :) DONNY ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Dec 1997 04:14:54 -0500 (EST) From: Reecord2@aol.com Subject: YWMFM two versions..... Ok, I was listening to the radio and heard YWMFM, and noticed that it was a different version than the one on the Cd Peices of You. I personally like the radio version better, but does anyone know if and how I could get ahold of the radio version? Then again, a lot of you guys have different radio stations that just may play the OTHER version...so you may have no idea what I'm talking about. Heh, this is getting to be a pretty long and annoying post so i'll stop now- if any of you know what I'm talking about or how I could get the other version please tell me :-) -Richard ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Dec 1997 00:34:37 -0800 (PST) From: Tonya Irving Subject: NjC - jUst WaNtEd To SaY hElLo hI gUyZ... i'M tHe nEw AnGeL aRoUnD hErE! i JuSt WaNtEd To sAy Hi AnD pLeAsE dOn'T tHiNk I'M a DoRk iF i Do SoMeThInG sTuPiD (wHiCh I'm PrOnE tO!!!) bY tHe WaY... i AbSoLuTeLy AdOrE jEwEl!!!!!! Is there a definate date to it? Or is it going to be delayed like Sarah McLachlan's Sweet Surrender single, which comes out Jan. 5th now? BTW, Jewel, Sarah, and Lilith were snubbed from "Time"'s Best Music of 1997..dunno how though, cause U2's Pop made it at #4...go figure. They did mention Lilith though, in saying that Matchbox20 and Prodigy should play at lilith 98 to learn something instead of beating down on women with their songs "Push" and "Smack my bitch up"...
