Accordion to RockOnTV's website (http://www.rockontv.com), the Wizard of Oz (with Jewel) is on at 5:00pm EST on VH1. However, the official VH1 website's program guide for Christmas Day says otherwise: http://vh1.com/insidevh1/schedule/index.tin?dtSchedDate=12/25/1997 I also checked all 7 days this week on the VH1 site, and it's not listed at all. To tell you the truth though, I'd believe Rock On TV, because in the recent past whenever the two sites disagreed Rock On TV was always right....ya would think that VH1's OWN website (just updated today for Pete's sake) would be accurate, wouldn't ya? Hey EDA's, I am sorry I don't write as much as I should, but I am a faithful reader of the list and learn a little more about Jewel everyday. Now, however, exams are done and I have a little time to think about what i want for Christmas. :) I saw a Jewel show September 6, 1997 in Toledo, OH and was wondering if anyone has a tape of it, or knows where I can find it easily. The show was great, as usual, but I have been unable to get my hands on it and I havent really had any time to look for it. Also, I was wondering what the policy on trading jewelstock is. I have heard that many people want it and Jewel doesnt want it traded around, but I have also heard that she wants it to stay within the EDA's. I have been into Jewel since I saw here performance o= f "Foolish Games" on the Mtv Movie Awards 1997. I then went and bought "Pieces Of You" which I still haven't stopped playing. Since getting into= Jewel I have recorded the following programmes off tv, the last three are= Uk Tv programmes if you hadn't already heard of them Later With Jools Holland is a music programme which features 4 to 5 different acts each week. Whilst, Light Lunch is a daily talk show over here, which features = a different music act each week. The light lunch which featured Jewel was recorded on the 14th November '97, the day that she was playing at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Lastly the National Lottery programme was recorded= live on 12th November on the eve of her single ("You Were Ment For Me") being released in the Uk. I have a multi-format VCR so it doesn't matter if the videos= are in PAL or NTSC. = I went to see Jewel on the 14th Novmber at Shepherds Bush Empire, and I must say except for the support act (David Warner, Wailing singer, singin= g about gibberish) the concert has to be the best gig I have been to this year. I especially liked it due to the fact that she sang some early song= s that I hadn't sung before, as well as a new song (that I can't remember tthe name of ). The songs included : Foolish Games, Race Car Driver, You Were Meant For Me, Angel Standing By, Don't. Between songs she talked about her appearances on Light Lunch (She was asked backstage to teach a woman who was baking her a 'Baked Alaska' how = to yodel !!) Also she talked about her appearance on Top Of The Pops (A Uk Chart Show Programme, which she subsequently even though she had filmed "You Were Meant For Me" she did not appear on the programme, because her single did not appear in the top 10 opr something) and how all the other pop acts thought she worked there (Moby asked her for some water), and wh= en trying to get onto the stage the audience were rowdy because they thought= that she was pushing to the front !!. = I would like to go to see her live again, but I don't when she's touring= in the Uk again, does anyone know ???
