Every Day Angels... I would like to wish every single one of you a safe and joyful holiday season. I hope that all of you have a wonderful, loving home to go to for the holidays, however, EVERY angel out there should please know that they can always find love on this list. I would also like to encourage all of you to spend the time this holiday to please volunteer your time and your hearts to some sort of charity organization. Whether it be visiting an old aunt that you never see, serving food at a homeless shelter, or simply showing Love to someone that might not be able to see it so clearly. Please, this holiday season, let's show the world why we truly are ANGELS. Http://www.geocities.com/sunsetstrip/venue/5083/ Give me some feedback. please. Enjoy, Andrew Please contribute any that you know of that I dont have. I've been on the list for a long while now (about 4 months), but I don't think I ever made a formal introduction. My name's C. K. Dixon & I'm fifteen. I live in Panama City, Florida where on the day before winter begins you can go out in sandals. In other words, It's unusually warm place. Thanks El Nino. I bought PoY about 7 months ago. I started listening to it all the way through (I do that with all my albums). By "Near You Always" I was absolutely hooked..All of my favorite songs however aren't on the album (Race Car Driver, MOPGGTW, Love Me Just Leave Me Alone, Satillite, Silver Lining) so I'm more than a little bit mad at Atlantic Records. Any word on the ever changing Release date? I have a web page @ http://members.aol.com/Spyrylz/rotfl.html My fave artists and bands are: Rolling Stones, Metallica, Fiona Apple, Sarah McL, Dave Matthews Band, Ben Folds Five and of course Jewel. I like alot of Christian Bands like Third Day, Jars, Johnny Q. Public and Petra. I might be getting a guitar this Christmas, which would be a good first step toward forming a band. I do write my own songs (They're Christian songs) and I have a real great voice. The band whould be called "Whatsoever" from 1 Corinthians 10:31: "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." I'm thinking the Lord might be calling me to this, It's a real good sign when three of your best freinds are drummers! C. K. Dixon (\o/) The Smart Aleck Angel /_\ P.S. Hello, I was recalling last night how it was around this time last year when I learned that Jewel's second album might be come out in March 1997. Of course, March came and went, and all the angels have been waiting for a year. Then I really got depressed remembering that we'll basically have to wait another year till the now tentative release date in September 1998. Sure tapes are great, but they don't give the quality that Jewel's music deserves. Covers on compilations are nice, but what Jewel really does best is her own material. I have a possible solution to our problem. Plenty of great songs were recorded at the Innerchange for Pieces, but did not make it to the album. An EP of these outtakes would be easy to produce. The recordings have already been made! Let's all e-mail jeweljk@aol.com. Lenedra and the rest of Jewel's management read all these mails. We'll ask shortly and sweetly, "Please may we have a Pieces outtake EP?" If a large number of people respond to this, they will take us seriously! Please do this. Tell your friends on news only, spread the word to people who love Jewel but aren't on the list, if you have a web site, advertise! Together, the 700 of us can make this happen. Please don't mail Mr. BB about this. The e-mail he receives is of a different nature. You can get padded envelopes at the post office, or any office supply store. Just ask. :) > And how do you make or copy J-cards, if a scanner is unavailable > to you? You can copy J-Cards using a *gasp* copier!! Just a plain copier will do although if you have color j-cards you may have to adjust it a bit so that the black & white looks ok. If you want to make J-Cards, there are numerous programs available, but I just use Microsoft Word with Frames. If you want, I can send you a template of one. > And, is everyone on the list that has tapes on the Angelfood Circle? I am still working on the Angel Food Circle. Once it is complete, I will ask people to start joining and actually get a nice huge list of people making tapes for others. Right now it is quite primitive and doesn't keep track of any of the trades or tape requests. Currently anyone can go to the site and it will e-mail them primitive instructions along with a list of tapes that they picked out. It also e-mails the person they chose to do the trade with so that they know a request has been made. In the future complete trade request tracking will be available and the members will only need to visit the site to check out all the information on the requests whereas the people requesting tapes will be able to see how far along the tapes are.
