She was born there in May 23, 1974 and moved to Alaska a while later. So if you had the impression that Jewel was born in Alaska, don't be bothered by it 'cause even I had that impression at the beginning. They always talked about Homer,Alaska so we just assumed she was born there. Hope this enlightens all of you out there. your guiding angel, Wadih Kanaan ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Dec 1997 07:57:16 -0500 (EST) From: She Who Is Subject: Re: Morning question I know that this is not a full answer, and that I should prolly just wait for someone else to fill in the rest of the information, but I do know that Henry Miller and Anais Nin had an affair, and this was frowned upon. It probably has something to do with women not supposed to be free sexually. They were both writers, as someone else pointed out, and their sexual freedoms were expressed in this manner. Anais Nin is a prominent writer of female erotica. That's all I know! Feel free to elaborate or correct me if I'm wrong. Godbless! Bless and Be Blessed; spread the Love! Well, the response to my offer was overwhelming. I got over 100 requests for tapes. I am sorry to say that I can not grant everyone's request. I have e-mailed the people who will be receiving tapes. As I said earlier, I am hoping to do this again after the New Year so keep your eyes open. Again I am sorry if I am not able to make a tape for you right now. I hope that I can help more of you in the future. Love always, Michele P.S. Thank you to the EDA's who didn't want tapes but wrote me nice messages about my offer. :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Dec 1997 14:25:00 EST From: VampSlayr6 Subject: Wizard of Oz (starring our Jewel) Well i don't post too often but when i do it's usually stupid sounding so i don't do it too much...(see what i mean?) anyway i just thought i'd let all of you Angels know what the best song on the Wizard of Oz soundtrack was...it has to be Jitterbug...Jewel does most of it herself and it's upbeat and catchy...overall it's great!!! "Summer Home In Your Arms" by Jewel Kilcher transcribed by Mike Carmona I transcribed the version from Jewel Stock, tape #2, B - side. The chords sound different than the version on Rare Angels, so I recommend you compare it to Jewel Stocks version to get the melody and all. Also, I added the lyrics Jewel forgot. Billboard Magazine says "[Sheik]'s introspective lyrics are sharply drawn and touchingly sensitive--perfectly complemented by a vocal that is appropriately soft but never soppy. Factor in carefully layered guitars and a smooth beat, and you have an instantly appealing package." Duncan has started pre-production on the video, which should debut around January 6th when the soundtrack is released. As in past years, the best inexpensive rooms for those who need to get a motel seem to be at the Royal Inn, (561) 793-3000, a couple miles away from the Ampitheater on Royal Palm Blvd. We got a room for four out-of-town folks for $38.50, and that's their regular price. As of last night they still had vacancies, as most folks going to the show will come from South Florida where they can make it home easily that night. Two, we were corresponding with a couple folks who were planning an informal gathering of EDAs before the Fair. That was a few weeks ago, and we haven't heard any final plans from them. Maybe the semester's end or the foul weather distracted or discouraged them--sorry that happened, if that's the case. If there is a gathering, some of us want to be there, but in any case folks who want to come share a late breakfast (thermoses of coffee and plenty of Pop-Tarts warmed in aluminum foil on our cars' exhaust manifold) - -- maybe you can even bring some food and warm drinks to share too -- you'll find us in the vendor/nonprofit groups' parking lot, near to the Will Call booth at noon. We'll be under a blue tarp if necessary, adjacent to a white station wagon and a yellow Jeep Cherokee till we load-in at 1 PM. Hope to see some of you there! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Dec 1997 16:18:57 -0500 From: "Nicole Langlois" Subject: Japanese Foolish Games Single This is a multi-part message in MIME format. - ------=_NextPart_000_000A_01BD0975.256A77C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello everyone!
