Angels hi! to every angel out there i have some ideas. first of all for the east coast people, or anyone who can get to Orlando, why do we meet there? it's a greaat city with a lot of fun (plus i live in that state! *lol*), i know a great restraunt that we can meet at, or if we want to splurge we can go to Epcot or something like that together. i was just thinking of getting a whole bunch of us together, it might take awhile but it would be fun. second thing: i don't know if you are doing this or not, but since we are called Everyday Angels we should really live up to that name. by volunteering where we live, smiling a little more (corny I know), taking a little more time to actualy care. we could somehow raise money for a charity....child abuse could be one. i just think it would be nice if we could all pitch in and try to really show people that we are angels, just like they are. it just takes a little more time out of your day, that's all. we can gain awareness of issues going on today, just something that can really make a difference. if anyone has any ideas please email me. also i want to thank all the wonderful beautiful angels who have helped me greatly (esp. Mykel!) recently (i just begain this). i feel right at home, look i'm already voicing my opinion! *lol* all of you are great, i love how dedicated you are to jewel, to music, to poetry and to each other. thank you kat imperfect angel ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 08 Dec 1997 20:03:11 -0500 From: Burkeman Subject: Re: Superbowl At 03:15 PM 12/8/97 EST, PENNY16161 wrote: >Does anybody know if the NFL or a music company is going to record the music >from Superbowl XXXII. First of all, we were in the midst of the beginning of Desert Storm, and the country's patriotism was high, and second of all, it was an amazing touching and sensational performance of our nation's anthem. So it was sort of isolated in its release as a (multimillion selling?) single. >I just think that it would be pretty cool >if some company did do that. All I have to say is f**k Billboard. I didn't know the only people worthy of awards were from Hip hop and Country. I guess selling 7million copies of a debut album just isn't enough...when the awards are based on airplay and sales...go figure. I don't remember seeing her in the awards...just hearing her name. She's not exactly something someone can miss without being senile, or drunk...or both. Could someone clear up this for me what happened? Thank you very much :) Have a great day! Seth Fulmer A.K.A. Fox advertised that she was going to be on. What happened? Was she to tired because of the tour? Second, what is with David Spade? What is with him dising Jewel? He said "it's nice to host an award show where Jewel is performing at. Okay Jewel you lived in a van, it sucks, we know." I dont think that David Spade has ever listened to Jewel in his life, and Jewel never had a single where she sang about living in a van. It is the press that is pressing that piece of her. My name is Leslie, and I'm an 18-year old folksinger/dreamer/lover and anything else I choose to be for the day. I used to be on the list about a year ago, but everyone started hating each other and it was nothing but rant rant rant until my delete button got sore, and I got off the list. I figured it was probably happy folk heaven by now, and so far it looks like it is. Well, I have a few Jewel tapes, not much. I listen to alot of different musics, my favorites being Phish, DMB, Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Ani Difranco, G. Love, MMW, Elliot Smith, Dar Williams, Beastie Boys, Blues Traveler, Ben Lee, Juliana Hatfield, Bob Dylan, and the ever omniscient Jewel. There isn't much else I have to say, but if anyone wants to know more about me, just give me a hit on the reply button and I'll hook you up. Until then, carry on, and I'm glad to be back on board. Oh! Also, if anyone has tabs for songs that aren't on Pieces of You, I would be sooooo appreciative, cuz I got a gig coming up, and would love to cover some Jewel. Once again, thank you fair angels.
