Fonig@aol.com asked if Jewel wrote Chime Bells. She has introduced it at shows as a traditional song taught to her as a child by her dad. It's probably in the public domain, and sheet music should be possible to find somewhere. NeifaJewel@aol.com wanted lyrics and guitar tabs, which I don't have but someone's web page probably does (maybe Pieces of Jewel?). But since it's probably a traditional folk song someone with access to a library should be able to find the complete sheet music for it, and maybe they could offer it to the list for copying and postage expense. You might also look in the books of traditional folk songs advertised in Sing Out! magazine. If you can't find that magazine at a store near you, write me and I'll send you their address. Given Chime Bells' popularity with Jewel fans --it's a trademark of Jewel's act, however often she may sing it anymore -- a transcription of it's sheet music, and proper credit to whoever wrote it if known would be a great addition to jeweljk.com. May angels bless you, every one. It is on the Chatter page, usually located on the last page. The blurb is as follows: Lonely Hearts Club Her Debut Album, Pieces of You, may be seven-times platinum and counting, but folk-rocker Jewel Kilcher says she has been stone out of luck when it comes to meeting men. "I'll be doing a show in Paris and see all these beautiful guys and know that I'll never get to talk to them because they'll never find me," says Jewel, 23. "They'll never talk to me, they'll never come up to me. It's okay, though it's kind of ironic." Prospective Jewel suitors can get some insight into her pop psyche when both the book of poems and memoir-scrapbook she has signed to write are published next year. "My thoughts aren't that original, my emotions aren't that original<" she conceds. "Everybody has thought what I've thought. It's not like I'm harboring some hidden human emotion that no one else has had and I better keep it to myself." Written by Chuck Arnold. Comes with a picture of her in the violet/pink top with the black undergarment. Caption reads :"Jewel: Admired by many, but from afar." Interesting little read, and you make of it as you will.
