It could also be about how she is lonely because her lover is never around and she wants him to stay. I don't think it is a happy song because it goes into a minor chord in the song when she says "Put the phone machine on hold.." I personally think it is about an old lover and how she made love to him and she wants it to last. Because she says "but this time will be even better we'll stay together in the end..." I think she makes it sound happy because she is trying to convince him to hide her sadness or loneliness. I also think that is why the minor chord is put there so we can realize that she is sad. Well maybe I am wrong. Let me know what you think. I am interested in your opinions. I don't post much, but I have found some very good friends on this list, so my best wishes go out to everyone during the holiday season. I lost a good friend on monday to a lingering illness. Her name is Connie. For the last seven years Connie and her husband Dave have welcomed me into their house on Thanksgiving as part of their family. This thanksgiving we all gathered to support each other. My friend Dave wanted to go on in the same way Jewel would have..."Never give up hope, it works...AMA Awards". While the holidays are a time to get together with the ones you love, this year I will have a deep hole, I will miss my friend Connie, but I will also smile at the good times and fun we shared in her all too short time with us. I checked the preview channel and the tv guide to see when Miss Kilcher's "Wizard of Oz" special would be on. Needless to say I could not find it. When I got back to school today I went online to see if I was missing something. Well, I found out that it was played on VH1. The reason why I could not find it at home is because my cable service took MTV and VH1 off of our service. I'm not sure how, but we got MTV back. No VH1!! Boy did that suck, missing the special. I was wondering if anybody got a video tape of this special and would be willing to send me a copy of it. I am willing to compensate you for the trouble (i.e cost of tape, shipping, plus anyting else). If you have a copy of this can you please email me, so that we could set something up together.
