Although I agree with a few of the meanings, I really don't think the author of that post understands the songs. I think he/she should go listen to them a little closer. Some of the meanings the author writes boggled my mind. It's not the type of boggling that is "Oh, that's what it means," it more like "Where can you possibly come up with that meaning." I think "NEAR YOU ALWAYS" has alot to do with love....she loves this person so much she wants to be near him always. every touch, every flower makes him love him even more. The song "Sencitive" I am wondering if she means being a woman...in fact being a sencitive woman..and she likes to stay that way. In the song "DADDY" she says "I saw you sneek out your window, with your WHITE, HOOD, daddy...what's that say about you? " Is the father in the song (I'm not saying Her father) a KKK memeber?? How he treated her badly, when he was a bad person? Well tell me what you think... I just wanted to write and let you know about the LF concert on PPV. Merideth Brooks opened with her 3 singles "Bitch", "If We Kissed", and "I Need". Then Shawn Colvin came out to play 4 of her songs...I can't remember any titles except "Sunny came Home". The Indigo Girls were next with "Get out the Map", and "Shame on You", then they invited Jewel and Sarah out for a beautiful rendition of "The Water is Wide" (not sure of title). Merideth Brooks came out next to join them in a FANTASTIC version of "Closer to Fine". Jewel then proceeded to play "Near You Always" with a stunning first verse acapela. She then played "Morning Song". Sheryl Crow then came on to play"Sweet Rosaline", and 2 wonderful versions of "Strong Enough" and "I Shall Believe". Sarah Mclachlan played 6 songs-"Hold On", "Angel", "Sweet Surrender", "Building A Mystery", "Possesion", and "Ice Cream". THE FINALE-Sarah invites everyone onstage to sing the Joni Mitchell classic-"Big Yellow Taxi". Absolutely wonderful! I really have no idea why I'm writing this...I guess to show how delighted I was with the results.....My only complaint was NOT ENOUGH JEWEL, but I did figure out that everyone sang 5 songs, with the exception of Sarah with 8, and Sheryl Crow with only 3. I gotta stop this :) At http://www.altvideo.com/ there's all three of Jewel's FULL Length music videos *and* some video where she's singing quiet warrior in a park or something with her blue guitar :) They're free, but you have to download a plugin to view them, and Unless you have the registered version of the plugin, you can't view them offline...but you might be able to if right after you view the files, go into your browser's cache and copy the *.viv files and then try to open them with your browser offline.. I haven't tried this, but it seems it might work. The quality is best for the T1 speed video, of course. But if you can view them offline, get the t1 speed video and then play it offline, the t1 speed videos are only about 3 to 5 megs each.
