I want to read the story while picturing our beautiful, talented Jewel's portrayal of the character. Especially with her guidance coming from the gifted director Ang Lee. In case you'd like to do the same here's the info I've uncovered: This title is out of print. It was published by Henry Holt & Co. It's publication date was originally July 87 with a reprinting in 89. It's ISBN # is 0805002839. Time to hit the used bookstores. I'll be very tenacious and won't stop til I have a copy in hand. Short of anything new by Jewel from Atlantic (ever seemingly) this will have to tide me over. If the movie deal falls through we shall have read for naught... 4th post in a year & a half... After being a little annoyed about being told by the phone people at Jewels Frankfurt venue that the show was sold out and it turned out not to be, I found an interesting thing about Jewel's Foolish Games single and how well it is doing in Holland! Well... In my local record store (I live in Germany, just off the Dutch border!) in Holland I looked into the chart are trying to find this CD, when I found something MUCH better! Now, I have never seen a Jewel single in the Dutch charts before, so this will probably seem a bit of a rubbish chart position for you...... BUT! She is at number 42!!!!!! Her best Dutch release to date, I think! :)))) CONGRATULATIONS JEWEL!!!! ANyway, It was in a cardboard packaging, with FG, Angel Needs A Ride and Everything Breaks as the 3 tracks. I found this wierd as I bought it a week earlier in Germany in a normal CD singles case... Hmmmmmm. Anyway, thought you'd like to know! A few things happened over the weekend that prevented Bibi (Jewels' Creative Director) from applying the finishing touches on the site. (for the new folk, the debut was to be yesterday) Bibi is as anxious as everyone to see it up & running, if not more so, especially considering she has a goal of flying to Madrid to meet up with Jewel on Thursday :) Although she has not given me a status update since Sunday night, I am fairly certain it will be up in a day or two. So just keep trying occasionally and I'm quite sure that you'll be able to enjoy it soon :) Again, the address for the web site is: http://www.jeweljk.com Mike * The Jewel Mailing List Netiquette & New Member Guide is at: * http://www.spectra.net/~ducksoup * * If you are new to the list and need someone to guide you * please check out the "Adopt A Newbie" page at: * http://www.geocities.com/wellesley/3079/newbies.html * * If you have list related questions, feel free to email me * at Ducksoup@spectra.net * * DuckofPrey@aol.com WhyADuck55 on AOL Instant Messenger ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Nov 1997 22:34:09 -0000 From: "Myles MacRae" Subject: Asian tour pictures I've just been browsing the Atlantic Records sight to find a secial feature on Jewel's recent tour of Asia.
