It has short clips of answer to various interview questions. It is very similar to the "Launch CD". But I will warn you ahead of time that unlike the "Launch CD" this one has no Jewel songs on it, or at least I haven't discovered any yet :P It does contain this one interesting message in which you can put on your answering machine. It is issue number #6 and Barnes and Nobles is where I found mine. The price is $12.95. Okay..that is all for now. Take care my angels-- Mary wannabe angel :) "In the end only kindness matters" ~Jewel Kilcher ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 02 Nov 1997 11:37:02 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: Repeat of Jewel on VH1 Hard Rock Live VH1 has been mentioning that the hour long show (1:03 actually) Hard Rock Live: Jewel will be repeated on Saturday, November 8th at 7:00pm EST (Check your local listings for the time in other times zones) Mike ------------------------------ Date: 2 Nov 97 19:19:05 +0100 From: "Chris Groves" Subject: Jewel on Later... I was a little disappointed thst Jewel only performed one song last night on Later...with Jools Holland on BBC2, the other acts performed either two or three. The song she did sing was Who Will Save Your Soul. I thought it was an excellent performance, Jewel was accompanied by Jools on the piano. After she sang, Jools Holland remarked of the coincidence that the first song that Jewel ever learnt was the same as his, which was Saint Louis Blues. He also invited her back to perform on his New Years Eve special. Jewel said that she would love it. Fellow EDAs, Hey!! I just thought I'd let you know that on Casey's Hot Twenty, Jewel was number one for the 6th week in a row with FG! She was also number two on Rick Dees' Weekly Top Forty after being number one for four weeks (does anyone know if she was #1 for longer-or less- than four weeks?)!!GO JEWEL! - -Tasha ~The Little Angel~ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Nov 1997 16:06:51 -0500 (EST) From: QTPYSK8R2@aol.com Subject: JC:top 10 hi everyone~ i dont know if this was already said but i was watching MTV's top 10's of all time and under top 10 female videos jewel came in 7th for YWMFM.I just thought that was kewl cuz it was of all time and she has only been around for a fairly short time love always~ jamie **thw twinkling angel** ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 02 Nov 1997 15:56:39 -0500 From: The Quiet Angel Subject: Jewel in EW Hello all you happy people (ya are happy aren't ya?) It's me the Quiet Angel opening his big mouth once again, to honor his vow as a member of this list, by reporting a media sighting of our omnipresent angel. I just recieved the latest Entertainment Weekly magazine (November 7th issue) and as I turned the pages, lo and behold, a drawing of our beloved one in Southern Belle drag revealed itself to me. She can be found, holding her lil' umbreller on page 84 where you'll also find a blurb on Jewel's new movie career that is led into with a report on Steven Tyler's (Aerosmith) new movie role. This report is written by one, Chris Willman (whom, as Mike Connell pointed out to me, has written other articles that show she/he doesn't like Jewel much), who uses Steven Tyler's movie role to damage Jewel's. Here's the reporting on Jewel plus a snippit from the Tyler piece: "Tyler, at least, had the sense to stick with a cameo for his first role not as himself...*snip*...But some musicians never learn. Jewel is reportedly set as the female lead in her first movie, a $35 million Civil War drama called To Live On, which starts shooting under Ang Lee's (The Ice Storm) direction in March. No word on whether they'll work a little yodeling into the script, as was done for Elvis' Confederate-set movie debut, Love Me Tender." Ok that's that, my lips will be ceremoniously sealed again tomorrow morning, and will remain that way for the duration of this quarter. Speak to me now or... scratch that, please speak to me! Please! :o) The Quiet Angel Abel "I'm a sensitive man of the 90's sweetheart, I care for your emotional being an awful lot" --Jewel P.S. Thanks Mike! :o) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 02 Nov 1997 17:57:53 +0000 From: Gerry Lipnowski Subject: Jewel Unplugged on MuchMusic Hi angels. I don't recall seeing it mentioned, so I just wanted to let my fellow Canadian EDA's know that Jewel Unplugged is scheduled be broadcast on MuchMusic next Saturday, November 8. I believe it starts at 9:00 Eastern Standard Time, but you'd better check your local listings to be sure. (It's NOT going to be broadcast on Much USA.) As a little bonus, immediately following Jewel, Much will broadcast Fiona Apple Unplugged as well. Sounds like a great double bill, so crank up those VCR's.
