She's taken into consideration many of the EDA suggestions & desires over the past year or so. This should fill a big gap on keeping everyone up to date (without asking me, hehehe.....). This should free me up to work on archive projects which is really what I'm interested in & very much looking forward to. I know they intend on doing a "notes from the road" type thing occasionally, so there will also be more regular messages from Jewel. As Mike also mentioned, the "scrapbook" is destined to be extremely popular & contains many photos no-one here has seen before. The authorized merchandise that everyone has been clamoring for is real nice & I think you'll be very impressed with the posters, especially. A few web-impaired folks have written, concerned that they might be cut off from the information flow. Rest assurred that will not be the case! Between Mike, EDA visitors to the site posting & my occasional updates, all info will most certainly hit the EDA lists as always, if not sooner. Not every aspect of the site will be finished on Monday, but I know you'll find this a very welcome website, that is everything the EDAs have wanted & more. The site will be accessible on Monday at: http://www.jeweljk.com/ Best wishes & Enjoy! MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 01 Nov 1997 17:03:05 +0100 From: Marian Veselcic Subject: Jewel show in Hamburg Well, that's the last report of german concerts because there are no more :-( It's a little bit late but I stayed in Hamburg for her TV show yesterday evening and just returned today. Here's the set list.... Don't Morning Song Stranger Enter From The East Song For The Winter (New Song) Pieces Of You/w super model story Little Sister Sometimes It Be That Way Here When Gone Who Will Save Your Soul A Very Big Girl Carnivore I'm Sensitive Just Passing Time Near You Always Foolish Games You Were Meant For Me Angel Standing By Encore: Latin Song ???? Amen Chime Bells It was a great concert. For me the second best on her tour. She started at 9pm at the 'Kleine Musikhalle' (Little Music hall) with about 350 people present wearing black and brown again but different clothes. Unfortunately we weren' t allowed to take pictures during the show and security was very strict this time. They searched every bag and so I had to leave the camera at the door. But I was able to record that show, too :-) During the first three songs there were a lot of official press photographers in front of the stage who took pictures of her. It was a little bit disturbing but they were thrown out after 'Stranger...'. Good time for Jewel to make some remarks about taking pictures :-) It seemed to me that she was in a very good mood. She talked a lot at the beginning of the show but I think a lot of the people in the audience couldn't understand english and only gave little reactions so she stopped talking that much during the second half. The sound in the hall was really great. It's usually used for classical concerts and so it was specially build. I especially liked 'Carnivore' and 'Morning Song' this time. Great to hear so many different versions of these songs. But all songs were great. The audience was silent during all songs and so you could listen, well just listen.... If anyone knows something about the latin song please email me. The only words I could make out were 'in cosigrande morire' or something like this. And it sounded like taken from an opera or a church song. After the show I got outside to get an autograph but Jewel went straight to her car without signing. During the time I waited outside I met another German EDA. Hi Mathias :-) So we had a small gathering in Germany. Nothing compared to the big gatherings in the US but it's a start.... Bye for now Marian PS: Soon to come: Transcript of the German TV show ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 01 Nov 1997 17:34:45 -0500 From: Miguel Antonio Gonzalez Subject: UNDERCOVER Issue 6: JEWEL EXCLUSIVE pieces for you UNDERCOVER Issue 6: JEWEL EXCLUSIVE pieces for you UNDERCOVER is a CD-ROM music magazine. $12.95 list price, found mine at a Barnes & Noble ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V2 #851 ***************************
