I dont know what to say. I got some e mail that was so mean! All I meant in my last post is that some of the stuff people post isn't neccessary, and it's mostly newbies who can't be blamed because they do know any different! I think its terrible that I am so afraid to ever post my opinion again. I won't! I promise! Please disregard what I said, all these tears aren't worth it! *SIGH* Now I am going to try to sound happy and tell you about my preformance last night. Unfortunately, only one angel was able to attend because I was not specific enough about the location of Faces. Well, I ended up playing from 7 until midnight, every time I tried to get off stage everyone wanted an encore! So I ended up singing a lot of songs, including WWSYS, YWMFM, Carnivore, I'm Fading, Flower, V-12 Cadillac, I'm Sensitive, Sometimes it be that way, Morning Song, FG (twice), The cold Song, Emily, Rocker Girl, Behind the Wall (aka Last Night), Sattelite (aka Hollywood). . .yada yada yada, and Tori Amos's Silent All these Years, Crucify, God, Cornflake Girl. . .Geez my voice and my fingers are really damaged! It was recorded, though, and I will send out copies to those of you who ask. I made a whole lot of money for it, almost $600 in tips too!! They invited me back soon, within the next couple weeks, so all you LA area angels, I will post specific directions there! I though about you all, and at the end and the beginning I thanked you guys for your love and support, and told them that I couldn't have done it without your support (and I couldn't have!) And I think all of you would want to show up at my next preformance, Woody Harrelson was there. We sat on a plane together for 12 hours during the summer, and he's come to 4 of my preformances so far. Its a real honor to have him telling me I did good. . .kinda crazy though! Ahhh. . .anyway the night went good, all in all, except during Sometimes it Be that Way when I sang the same stanza twice :o-) Other than that I didnt really mess up too much. I am new at this so everyone please be patient with me. Since this is my first letter I'll tell you a little about myself. I hit the big 4-0 this year...it didnt really bother me, I just feel like a 16 year old trapped in a 40 year old body! ...I am a nurse & I really love my job. It is a HARD job, physically and emotionally but it is very rewarding. And I wouldnt want to be anything else...I live in Alabama...any southern angels out there?...I have just lately became a fan of JEWEL. Not that I didnt like her music just that I hadnt really listened to her. The way that I discovered her may be partly why her music has touched my soul. .My son has been in love with a beautiful girl named Jessica. They have recently had difficulty in their relationship, but I know that she will forever be The Love of his life. He said that Jewels YWMFM was their song..(They had temporarily separated). Jessica loved Jewels music. Three weeks ago Jessica was in an auto accident.She was living only by life support and there was no hope of her ever coming out of the coma or living without artificial means.That was a time I wish that I had no medical knowledge. What do you say when your son looks at you with his eyes full of hope and asks if she will live or die .It makes you feel even more helpless because you cant do ANYTHING to help him or her. Jessica was taken off life support and she died very soon after. I bought my son POY but listened to it myself. i can see why Jessica was such a fan Jewel has the voice of an angel. The song ANGEL STANDING BY was so much what I felt Jessica would say. There was much comfort in the words of that song. ..I have a request to anyone who can help. There is a song written by Jewel entitled "JESSICA". Can someone please help me find this song. I know that it would mean so much to my son....I'm sorry that I have taken up so much space but thank you for listening. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can help him deal with this? He blames himself for it and feels that somehow he could have prevented her death.
