And for all your name suggestions, and, although you all sent in great names I still though I should think of one myself, so I have decided on "The spiritual angel" anybody like it?? I though that was more or less me in a nutshell. Anyhow, I was just wondering if any of you EDA's live in Canada. I really hope she comes to my province some day, my firnds and I would probally hitch hike up there if we had to [well, no, thats going overboard] Also, who started the EDS's and does the name come from the line in the sensitive song? I love that song, so much. And one more thing, is there anywhere on the internet I can go to listen to the blue water song? Enough rambling, I got lotsa homework. I am doing this project for myself and it's basically trying to find any inspirational poems, quotes, or short stories. I am eventually (if I get enough material) going to cover one of my walls in my room with all the material that you guys give me....just so I can have a whole EDA wall that will remind me of you all. The band origanally started in England in 1967 as a blues band headed by a guitarist called Peter Green, and including present day members John McVie on bass and Mick Fleetwood on drums. It was called Peter Greene's Fleetwood Mac. Other early members included Jeremy Spencer on Guitar and also Danny Kirwin. They were together for a few years until Greene left the band in 1970 for some solo stuff. They then picked up Christi Perfect from a band called the Chicken Shack. The band now had a more melodic rock sound on the 1970 album Kiln House. Spencer would eventually leave and would be replaced by an American named Bob Welsh. Both he and Kirwin would eventually leave also. The band then moved to Los Angeles where guitarist/vocalist Lindsey Buckinham and vocalist Stevie Nicks would join. The band now consisted of those two, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and Christi Mcvie, formerly Christi Spencer. There self titled "debut album" was released in 1975. It became an immediate success selling over 5 million copies and produced the hit Rhiannon. In 1977 they released Rumors. This is probably the album most people are familiar with, seeing as it has become one of the most popular albums of all time. It had four smash hits, Dreams, Don't Stop, The Chiain, andGo Your Own Way. It remained number One on the U.S. charts for 30 weeks and sold over 21 million copies. The band then went on a world tour, and followed up Rumors with Tusk in 1979. It was a double record with 20 songs on it including a version of Tusk recorded live at Dodger stadium with the USC marching band. Throught its history the band's commradery was always lacking. With the McVie's divorcing, Buckingham and Nicks marrying and divorcing the bands past was turbulant. Many of the songs are written by one band member complaing about another. Nicks was farced to sing songs written by Buckingham not faborable towards her. The band was also never to keen on Nicks wardrobe, and felt she was trying to steal the show. These and many other internal problems led to a break up of the band seemingly for good until they reunited this year for the MTV concert and the release of The Dance. This is the best I can do for the history of the band, I hope its of some help and not to incorrect. As for the music, there is a multitude of styles found within Fleetwood Mac. You have Buckinhams deep emotional songs powered by his hammering guitar riffs. Christi McVie brings a poppy sing along feelgood style with her songs. My favorit however are Nicks' hippy kinda far out there folk style ballads. Plus, if you've ever seen them in concert, then you'll know that there is nothing better than a drummer who really GETS INTO his drumming, I mean its great watchinh Mick Fleetwood drum because he is the one member who you can count on to be having fun, unlike some of the band members who will glare sneer and snig at other members. I highly reccomend getting The Dance to anyone who doesn't have it and wants to get a good taste for their sound, also Rumors is a must have. Hope I've been helpful and sorry for the length. My name is Linda Elizabeth MacIntyre and I recently turned 15 years old in June. I have an abusive older brother, a highly irrational father, and an alcoholic mother. My little brother? ah, he's just stupid. Anyway, today, there was a revelation.. It's good in the fact that it happened, but bad in the results... My brother moved out today on his own.. or at least with some friends.. Meanwhile, my drunk-ass mother, who is cheating on my father with some white trash school janitor, is coming to me saying "I hope you're happy! You're the whole reason he left!" I am happy, but I want everyone to know that he did not leave for one reason.. he left because he can't handle it here with my parents (and neither can I, I don't blame him) partially me for being a quote, unquote "loser with no life other than the computer", and my mother.. for embarrassing our whole entire family because _everyone_ knows of her antics.. Next time on All My Children... But seriously guys.. what am I supposed to do? The major problem is out of the way but now we have to deal with my mother! My father wants a divorce... and I'm sure my mother does too, but my mother always goes back on all her words.. Her word is her lie... If anyone has any decent advice, please let me know.. I"m just happy to know I won't have my brother attacking me anymore... but I don't know about my mother.. except for the fact that she's so small I could beat the shit out of her if she proved any real threat like chasing me with a knife.. If you're sitting here gasping.. well then, that's my life.. But that's not the half of it.. a few know the whole story... or at least most... i'll ttyl love, linda the lovable angel : (\/) Linda the Lovable Angel {\o/} http://www.carsey.net/~spice : : \/ spice@castle.carsey.net e/d\a : :"Cuz being in love just means calling places when you can't afford the : : bill. This is important... involves my dog.. Alright, this has been a problem here for a while.. I have two dogs, Dawn and Brittany.. and we have to get rid of one of them.. Brittany.. She's a white dog.. very pretty... except she has a problem.. She has what Jared the SUperdeformed Angel told me was mange.. Dawn has it too, but we can only afford to help one of the dogs.. and I can't bear to be without Dawn.. she is my passion.. i love that dog with all my heart... I love Brittany a lot too, so I'm asking if there is anyone out here that loves dogs.. and would consider taking my dog - free of cost... and nursing her back to her healthy self.. and take her to the vet and get rid of the fleas and her mange and stuff... It's rather embarrassing for me to be posting about this, but as you could guess from my last post, I don't exactly live in the best housing situations around... The fleas on the dogs are a big problem.. A few summers ago my little brother and I had bites all over our legs from them.. and I got one the other day which tells me it's time to get the problem solved... I had to clean my whole room and wash every article of clothing and put it in bags and then spray my room.. i can't even let the dogs in... besides that it's so hard to get them to take a flea bath... This is SO embarrassing to post about but I'm in desperate need of help here.. please don't flame me.. because that would be the lowest of all things a person on this list could do... I need someone who's seriously wanting to help my poor dog out because my family is unfortunately too poor to. :( thanks - -linda the lovable angel : (\/) Linda the Lovable Angel {\o/} http://www.carsey.net/~spice : : \/ spice@castle.carsey.net e/d\a : :"Cuz being in love just means calling places when you can't afford the : : bill.
