I go to Old Dominion University working on a double major in Psychology and Biology. I'm 25 and I work for Radio Shack. Don't have much time on my hands since I am taking 13 semester hours here at school and working 40 plus at The Shack. I really became a fan of Jewel when I saw on on the House of Style on MTV doing the "ultimate prom dress" special, which I have on tape for all you out there seeking a bit of unique Angel Food!!! I joined the list maybe two months ago. I started with the full list but I had to Unsub to that list because of all the messages you guys put on there. I couldn't keep up! When I had about 200 new messages I hadn't read yet I decided that was too much. But I still subscribe to the digest because it is much easier just to scroll down and read the list all at once than to read them one by one, and then it's easier to ignore those of insignifigance to me. I was looking for an angel name and I have a few ideas so if no one else goes by Earth Angel I'll use that. Otherwise, I'll post another one instead. They've been around since the late 60's, but at that time they were a blues band. Later on they added Stevie and Lindsey and that's when they started getting attention. The band has been through a lot of breakups and to have them get together again is a monumental experience! I've been brought up on them. My mom says I listened to them when I was a baby and then when I picked up the vinyls again I knew the words to every song. So, anyways I have a personal attachment to them. here's the song that goes with my nick "I took my love, I took it down. Climbed a mountain and I turned around. Then i saw my reflection in the snow covered hills, Well, a landslide brought me down.." They are definetely worth listening to. After all, they are a part of music history. Its about time. There's so much to say about an acoustic guitar and beautiful singing as opposed to loud distortion, in which you can cover up mistakes and shouting. I'm not saying that they are untalented, just saying that the performers at Lilith and anyone like them are more talented, but doing an incredibly fast solo in triplets or whatever doesn't mean they are great guitarists. Look at the Eagles, they never did fast solo's, nor did Clapton, but I'd say they are a helluva lot better than a lot of heavy metal guitarists. Its about feewing:) Don't get me wrong, I still pull out the old Van Halen or Judas Priest once in great while. Anyways, enough rambling. Congrats to Sarah, Jewel and the rest of the posse in having the top and best tour of the summer. It definitely ranks up there with one of my favorite concerts I've ever been to.
