Right now I am not prepared to start any orders or anything, but I would like some feedback from everyone else. So far, many people are into the idea of chokers. I did some shopping and came up with two workable pieces. The two forms I liked are a siimple black leather string with either an angel charm one it or the letters "EDA" spelled out in small pewtered block letters. They both look really nifty and are pretty inexpensive to produce. I'm still looking about for other colored beads to add to the mix to bring out the whole effect. The second form was a natural-colored hemp braid choker with the letters, charm, beads, etc. imbedded within the braid. I can do the braid, but those orders would take a little longer becasue those require some time to make. Easy, but time consuming. I'm trying to find a scanner on campus I can use to give some examples. The way I figured it, neither form should cost more than $4.00 to produce. I'd sell them at cost plus mailing expenses. If anyone else has any advise or suggestions, please mail me privately. Thanks for your help! If someone likes Madonna, then they like Madonna. Nothing's going to stop them if they just happen to like her music. If someone likes Jewel, then they like Jewel. And nothing's going to stop them. So, you people should just get over the fact that some people on this particular list happen to like Madonna and some people don't. We shouldn't go around griping at the people who do, it's not going to do anything. Yes, I agree that we should just stop talking about Madonna altogether so we can stop this debating crap, but it just angers me to see that a certain individual keeps making threats to the people who do like Madonna. Its pretty different for them. Keith Richards does a couple of Ska songs that are very good. Anyway, I was thinking how Don Was is working with Jewel and he has also produced that last two Stones albums. So, is there a remote posibility that Jewel and the Stones might play together one day? That would be awesome. Or think about Jewel doing a duet with Keith Richards playing guitar. That would have to be one of the most memorable moments in Rock history, if it happened. Just Daydreaming. I think it has to do with the fact that some of her songs just don't sound right with just a guitar backing them up... And that's just one of them... I don't think there's anything wrong with using a back-up band, it really does highlight some of her songs, and adds to the whole experience.... So I think we'd be better off just ignoring him. We know how special Jewel is, and anyone who thinks otherwise shouldn't be a part of this group. I personally feel that some of her songs, songs such as Love Me Just Leave Me Alone, Carnivore, Sattelite and Been Down So Long, sound spectacular with a full band. In addition, the electric Foolish Games is so powerful that it never fails to give me goosebumps each time that I hear it. Don't get me wrong, I love Jewel acoustic. I simply admire the versatlity that Jewel is presently displaying. The format of current Jewel shows are perfect: An solo acoustic set, followed by a band set, subsequently followed by a solo acoustic encore. Jewel is advanicing both creativly and musically, and I for one eagerly await each and every new song. Jewel is one of only a handful of artists that excites me to the point where I eagerly anticipate each new composition, and it is extremely gratifying to witness the evolution of this incremently talented artist. Trust me, this is a very exciting time to be a Jewel fan. The non EDA-world thinks that they know Jewel, but they don't knew Jewel. Just wait until the new album finally comes out. My prediction is that it will blow the musical world away. Take care all and keep listening. Peace, Jeff :) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V2 #738 ***************************
