Here's a brief memo from Lenedra explaining it somewhat. Dear EDAs, After our recent announcement for the September 20th benefit concert in San Diego, several questions arose about Common Ground, the non-profit foundation we are currently in the process of creating. To clear up any confusion, I thought it helpful to provide an update on Common Ground and why this foundation is being established. As you all know, Jewel receives literally dozens of requests for charitable contributions every day. To assist us in prioritizing selection of charitable contributions we have set up a non profit organization. The foundation will receive, review and render decisions on all charitable contributions based on essential social and spiritual issues. Early in 1998 a press conference will be held to present Common Ground and its endorsees. -Lenedra BiBi also told me that an official announcement will be made at the show itself so stay tuned for further details. All the best, MrBB *********************************** New to the list? The signature is in blue felt tip. Here's my offer: I'd like to TRADE this with someone for a copy of Save the Linoleum...unautographed is ok. I paid an amount for the photo that's equal to what STL sells for now. I'm making this offer for anyone who would like a genuine great quality autographed picture of Jewel. I'll include the frame as well...I had to buy that separately, but I'll throw it in with the photo. It's a nice wood frame, with slightly tinted glass. Matches great with the photo. I'm gonna check some stores today but I don't think they'll have it. Can you order it over the 'Net? Also, if you know of a place near you that has it could we maybe work something out? Also, to all the people wanting posters -- I'll keep looking for them but the store is closed and moved out. I think there were 3 or 4 people (gotta check my mailbox). So I'm kinda working on a priority list, meaning if I find one the next person on the list gets it. Sorry. I'll keep my eyes open though. So if you have info on the vinyl POY, email me. Goodness is a quality that is best determined on the personal level...What is considered good to one, sometimes is considered outright sinful evil to another :) My philosophy is that if someone imagines something to be true, as long as they're not hurting themselves or another, then there's no reason to break up that illusion.
