What happened that is making everyone so worried that there will be no more list? I am new to this list so I don't understand what has been going on, but I see how concerned you all are th= at this list will come to an end. It is obvious that all of you have become close because of this list and you all don't want to lose this. That is = very understandable, but what is talking about how the list might end going to= do. What we all need to do is get together figure out the problem. When we = know what the problem is we need to figure out how to fix it. No one wants th= is list to end, but it might if we don't do something about it. Aside from that I also wanted to ask a question. In Pieces of You, there= is an e-mail address that they give you. If I write to that will Jewel be getting my mail directly or will it be collected and read by someone else. That is all that I wanted to say. Was it just distributed to radio > stations or something like that? Save The Linoleum (STL) is a Promo CD. A Promo CD is typically distributed to radio stations and a select group of people (hell if I know what determines those, but I know some ways, just not how to get on it, eheh) for free when the record company wants to circulate some music. They are only released once, and not readily available. That is why it is quite difficult to get your hands on one. I'm sure there are still countless radio stations who have the CD in their hands, having no such idea (hell, my radio station at school is in that situation.. err..the one I graduated from, eheh). Just thought you might be interested in reading an article in this week's San Diego Reader (a free, weekly events paper here in San Diego) about the Living Room Tour. This Tour is really gaining some publicity!! I hope one comes to this *tiny* little town! ;) Note that our very own LARRY is mentioned, although they forgot his last name, Kookybaka. Enjoy! Peace, - -Erik From the "San Diego Reader", july 31,1997 issue: - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It's semi-revolutionary!", says Cindy Lee Berryhill, describing her upcoming Living Room Tour with fellow San Diego tunesmith Elizabeth Hummel. The concept was born a few months ago, when a canceled show left Hummel and Berryhill stuck in Boston for a few days with nothing to do. Then, the Everyday Angels, an Internet discussion group dedicated primarily to Jewel, entered the picture. Inspired by the San Diego connection, members of the Everyday Angels had followed the Berryhill tour with interest. They stepped in to throw a house party for the temporarily displaced singer/songwriters. "Twenty people showed up on 24 hours' notice," recalls Berryhill. "Elizabeth and I just traded songs. I guess we played about 12 or 14 songs apiece. It was kind of nice, just sitting in a room playing for people." So nice, they decided to do it again. Larry, an Everyday Angel based in Los Angeles, helped organize a Living Room Tour. Members volunteered their homes and raised money to cover travel costs. Starting in New York City on August 1, the tour will hit domiciles in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Indiana. An outdoor date in Cape Cod has already sold out its 100 tickets. "The trade magazines keep talking about how shows aren't doing good right now," says Berryhill, "but it's not like people don't want to see music. With the Living Room Tour, there might be between 30 and 100 people per show." Berryhill points out, however, that some things about the concert business never change. "We're making T-shirts," she says. "They even say 'The Living Room Tour,' with the dates on the back, just like an Ozzy Osbourne tour." - -D.W. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 1 Aug 1997 17:52:23 -0500 From: gosiam@juno.com (Margaret E Milsztajn) Subject: YWMFM Video Ok, we've all seen the YWMFM video, right?.......
