I have a non-freenet e-mail address and I can post now!!! wooohoooo! no line noise! and remind you all that I exist (I know you care ;) anyhow....... a freak of nature happened today on Cleveland radio. THEY WERE USEFUL! .... they said Jewel is on Hard Rock Live tonight, so if any of you missed it, you can catch it (was this posted already? sorry if it was). and in other news..... I still exist. no no.... I recently introduced my "sisters" to non-album Jewel stuff... they were the two beautiful women who dragged me to some coffee shop a couple years ago to hear a free concert by some Jewel person I had never heard of. Being in 3 different cities they wern't aware of this list, that I was on it and that it has taken over my weekends, so it was fun to share, lalala. and.... well.... that is all, be kind to animals, kill a chicken. Peace, Mia! ~~~~ Amelia S. Vlah *turtle* asv@po.cwru.edu Turtalia@juno.com please bear with any delay. Has he ever done that before? Even more amazing was that she refrained from throwing in the "Hands" quote we all know and love. Personally, I think this was the best she looked in a while. Not a lot of make-up and casual clothes. Of course, getting back from Europe just yesterday, she probably wasn't to concerned with appearance. As for the song, Foolish Games, I felt it was kind of rough. Is she still under the weather any? At one point I thought I could hear the audience moan during a couple of scratchy words. Nice to know she back in the states. Less than three weeks till RockFest. WooHOO! She sang foolish games, and it was great. Later on she told Dave how she was performing to little crowds on her recent tour of Europe. That's crazy...I guess the majority of those people don't know what there missing. Well, I'll talk to all you later. I was under the impression that some people were going to arrange a get together for the Lilith Fair in Atlanta but so far I haven't heard a peep. Does anyone one know what has happened to these plans or if they still exist?? Just curious. Matt Spangler ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 03 Jun 1997 00:59:13 -0400 From: Abel Rosario Subject: SJC: Jewel's performance Hey fellow EDAs, I just saw Jewel on David Letterman *breath intake* Its always a pleasure watching her perform (a dream to meet her). Although she seemed to move around more than usual. She performed "Foolish Games" with a tiny orchestra, it was very moving (it always is). She dressed comfortably and seemed comfortable during her interview with Letterman. I missed the first 30 seconds of it (damn nature call). She talked about her album and about her neverending tour, and David replied for her to get some rest (I hope she does, even if it means not coming to Jones Beach). I feel so sad now, I could have had a chance to meet or at least seen her personally (I'm only a 30 min. subway ride from the theatre), but since I had just come back from my trip to PA, I had forgotten. :o( There's always Jones Beach. *sigh* Your EverDay Fool Abel ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V2 #408 ***************************
