SO SUE ME! And now to the REAL summary... At 10:30 I was picked up in the SuperTruck(tm) by Rachel and Ted Anyway after a hop, skip and a jump , we arrived at Tammy's. Rachel and I imedately started running around the yard... We went in the house, where I continued to run around greeting everyone "Tammy and Rob have a BEAUTIFUL house", Rachel must of said this 3 or 4 times... And it's SO true. I was given PUDDING by Tammy . I think I got warped into the same vertex as Rachel, because I can't remember what happened after that, except for the part where we were singing around my fireplace. Then I drifted off to sleep land to be awakened by Rachel saying "Erica...People are here, somebody was in here looking at us and then went away" I got up and found out it was non other than Tim, Dan, and Mia... our suprise guests from the west? Off to the park!! My yellow hat saved the day, got pudding from Tom, Thirza and Jared, I fell asleep on the safari, went on some rides, and bonded with some of the most nicest people I ever did meet. BUT my report card is proudly displayed on a board on a fence while waiting in line for "Batman: The Ride" :) We got back to Tammy's and I made PISTACHIO PUDDING for everyone...ok...I ate most of it... but that's besides the point! Almost everyone had AT LEAST a spoonful. I was in "Hyper-active-on-Pudding Mode" and took the guitar and wrote such great hits as "Ted" which went....: "Ted Ted Ted Ted" You got the point...and no one can forget "Dan Dan He's Our Man" or "We love Rachel"... I kinda hid away online, giving reports to a few people while the "meeting" was on... then I talked with people, played guitar in the garage, and fell asleep on the stair case. I woke up, went to IMO, no... IPOP, no.... IHOM... IHOP!!!!! YES! Where I successfully poured STAWBERRY syrup on my begal...and kinda...UNsuccessfully poured BLUEBERRY syrup... Then we went paint balling, I could explain what happen, but I'll wait for the pictures to come back to show you...hee hee :) We went back to Tammy's for Chinese food and a "special" photo session...and then...sadfully departed.... :( I'd like to thank ALL the people I met for their kindness, pudding, and love. This was one weekend I'll never forget, I love you all :) A special Thank you to Tammy and Rob for letting me stay at the home and letting me use their milk for pudding. and a special Thanks to Ted and Rachel for my ride in the SUPERTRUCK(tm) Until the next day comes.... Going through EDA withdrawl, Erica - The Great Puddini P.S. If I forgot anything...remind me :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 May 1997 20:14:19 -0400 (EDT) From: NeOblCar@aol.com Subject: The Great EDAdventure -- take two A few words to let everyone know how the Great EDAdventure turned out. "It was a blast!" So many great EDA's that it is going to be hard to make sure I get to them all, but here goes. I beg your forgiveness if I forgot to mention you. First, for all those who thought Tammy and I were crazy -- the house is still here, we're still here, and the only casualty was one futon and one missing cat. I wanted to start with our long distance and long term guests Gianny and Farr. Of course anyone would be slightly worried about having someone you have never met stay for an extended period of time, but we couldn't ask for better people. They were great and it was an extreme pleasure to get to spend time with them. They both could have stayed another 4 days, we loved having them! Tom Proven, all I can say is why was Tammy saying your name in her sleep last night? Adam Longfellow was absolutely cool -- spinning yarns about the horrors of maintaining the most kick ass site on the web -- along with all the pleasures. We were so glad that he decided to remain in the NYC area to be able to stay with us. Dan Stark -- As always it was an extreme, and rare treat to spend time with you. As we talked I kept drifting off thinking how you, so early on, gave so many invaluable contributions to the list -- and still be here and still giving -- it restores my faith! Dennis Harris, what can I say, but ...... You, YOU ... you're the one who got us into this whole EDAdventure thing -- you rat bastard. Amy, who wasn't really here because she called in sick to work, and everyone knows you wouldn't do something like call in sick so you could go to an amusement park. So, I won't say how great it was to see you again, and how I am over whelmed with love every time we meet. Paul Kim and I always had such similar tastes in music and humor that we always have had a great time together. He one of my fav ole' time EDA's. Ted is the most fun person in the world. I wish I would have been there for Mr. TerminatorAngel at the paintball, that would have been classic. Ted honestly has the most beautiful soul and spirit of anyone I have ever met. Lauren Bond, who was Ms. TerminatorAngel at paintball I hear, was funny. She's so tiny that I literally saw her cheeks get more flush each time she sipped one of Tammy's "special" drinks. Eric Montas as always was cool, and we look forward to the PNC show together. Except every time he'd flick his hair I'd see it in the corner of my eye and think is was my long lost cat walking by. And thanks for bring Laura who was also fabulously friendly to us and silly enough to agree to ride with us to the park. Jared and Thirza were a welcome addition to spend the night Saturday after Dad Pearl agreed to let here stay. Thank goodness, because Jared and I had to get tixs for the PNC. The Great Erica Puddini --- lord, how do I describe my feelings for her? She was a force from the moment she walked in the door until she was dragged off. I definitely need more energy to keep up with you. Rachel is my CornFlake Girl. She not only was the funny soul she always is, but she also co-babysat our children during many of the outings. My younger daughter made no quiet secret that she preferred your company to mine, and you were so loving to them both. You know we have that spare bedroom if you wanna move in! Chris Moynihan was very entertaining and talented leading us in a few early sing alongs. It was a great connection and memory for me when you were playing guitar in the family room as Rachel and I quietly sang along to "Old Lover's House." Anthony and Renee are also old time favs for us. We met for the first time standing together in line at JewelStock; then we stayed close to each other and partied at New Hampshire; and then we dined together and chatted endlessly at the Beacon and now we once again enjoyed being with you guys. WE LOVE YOU GUYS AND YOU'RE BOTH VERY SPECIAL TO US!!!!! Tim Burkeman was constantly surrounded by people and I never got the chance to sit down for a long time with him. But those few minutes we passed made me realize why you are so well known in the Jewel on-line chat world. Same thing goes for Mia, and my biggest regret is that I did not get to spend more time with you. Tom Miles wins the award for the nicest and most polite angel -- bar none. Believe me, nothing makes me happier than to know he'll be sitting next to me at the PNC show. Stephanie, who unselfishly, bared her lyrical and emotional soul to us all was fabulous. Steph, keep the faith dear -- you can do it!!!! Christina was another one I desperately wanted to spend more time with, but could not catch at the right time. So, don't be surprised if I track you down at some future EDA event. Josh, who looks to also be joining us at PNC was great to meet. We'll get a chance to talk again there!!!!!! Tegan, brothers and friends -- WOW, what can I say. I hope the brothers and friends enjoyed themselves even though they seemed to not know what to make of us Angels. Tegan always does so much for us, and is so generous, I hope you know that you made a lot of charma points this weekend ;-) We appreciate everything you do for us. Tom O'Brian, who isn't on line so won't know what I am saying, but is forever emblazed in my Jewel life because his mug is in my picture with Jewel. All I can say is get online again real soon! Well, that's all I can remember right now, Again, I am real sorry if I missed anyone. Love to you all -- thanks for coming and thanks for Dennis organizing this whole event!!! -- Rob ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 May 1997 20:22:31 -0400 (EDT) From: StayMur@aol.com Subject: Wow I'm bummed about my EDAdventure Guys, Wow you guys had the best time, I wish I would have went but with my prom and everything I was so tired it was unbelievable--I slept the whole way home in the car and crashed as soon as I got home (didn't even get the PJs off) And my friends would have gotten really mad cause we were planing to go to GA after the prom since the day of our Soph Semi formal so if I didn't leave with them I would have caused more problems then I already have with them. Ok people, this is a long one, read if you want :-) Hi everybody, well i know i kinda said that i would keep an ongoing review of the EDAdventure from Tammy's house but....well.....i really couldn't think straight with all that cough*beer*cough in me :-) Ok, so here it is... The review from your very own crazy canuck with the weird name :-) My adventure into the diminsion called EDA... It all started at around 5:00am from the Toronto train station, breifly i took a bus into Buffalo and then the train to the New York penn station to the Jersey transit with directions from Rob on how to get into Metuchen, you really didn't need to know that but hey, i'm writing... :-) So it all took about umm 3 days to get to Rob and Tammy's... no sorry, it took 13hrs... i'm starting to get tired again.... Rob picked me up at the Metuchen Transit Train station, and we met, what a nice guy act Rob has, doesn't he ;-) .... just kidding :-) He proceded to travel at speeds of Mach 1 to get home, hmm, reminds me of stories about Dan Stark and his mighty mustang, well just to let you know Rob has a mustang too, what is it with guys and mustangs huh?? they all think they're race car drivers (weak attempt at a Jewel tie in ;-)) So we got to the Campell Inn, and it was bout 7:00pm, and lemme tell you, that's exactly what it was people, an Inn, it could have fit a lot more. Well, i walked in and saw Tammy smiling, Farr Shepherd smiling, and Tom Proven looking at me like i was from another country or something :-) Then something took me by surprise, there was a quiet individual in the corner sitting in a chair, i was thinking, hmmm, who is this mystery man, i introduced myself and he replied with "Hi i'm Adam", so this left me wondering, was this *the* Adam Longfellow???, or was it some other Adam from the list??? Then it all came out, he was indeed the creater of the Pieces of Jewel site Adam Longfellow, i was very glad to see him there (more on him later ;-)) So this was the group so far, Tom and Farr were attempting to make a paper roller coaster... I'm pretty sure that's what they were trying to make... help me out on this one Farr :-) Oh yeah, before i forget, i also met Tammy's beautiful little daughters, they were literally Jekel and Hyde... the Jekel part was entertaining us with "can you guess what i'm saying" and the favourite "look at me dance routine" :-) So the few that were there made some sandwiches and ate outside in the back. Then a few people started arriving, the other Tom (O'Brien) and Pual Kim and Lauren Bond. Then the mysterious Mitch Wiess, not an EDA but seems to go to alot of EDA get togethers :-) but he will soon join the group i think :-) And finally the rest of the Friday group were... Tegan and her brothers and brothers friends, Dennis who snuck in without letting anyone know... Damn those Harris Bros.. :-) and with Dennis was Chris Moynihan, Ted, who is a really great guy :-) and along with Ted were Erica(the great puddini)Cavallo, and Rachel(CornFlkGl)Martin, Also there was David (sorry i can't remember your last name) i don't think you told me, but then again, i'm not the brightest of people when i havn't slept in three days or so :-) Ok, i'm pretty sure those were the Firday group... Now, some activities were like i said, the arts and crafts team headed up by Tammy's daughters and Tom Proven and Farr, good job kids ;-) There was food eaten, Tammy was a great waitress. There was also some T.V. watching and guitar playing by yours truly and just about everyone else.... Paul was hogging it though ;-) Farr was dubbing stuff and there was some great conversations going on with everybody :-) Now wasn't that nice... :-) Ok, here's the fun part... Tammy got out the *drinks* and made some *drinks* for Lauren and herself, they were enjoying their *drinks* ;-) and everyone else drank some beer :-) When the entire Friday group arrived there were many new friends made. :-) Erica(Pud) was collapsing and running around like only Erica can, Rachel was bieng *nice* to everyone as usual (yeah sure, that's accurate ;-)) Tammy and Tom Proven had something going on all weekend and while i'm on the subject, Tom Proven had something going on with EVERYONE the entire weekend :-) Rachel was trying desperately to make me talk to her but she didn't succeed ;-) oh, and Rach, sorry if you thought i didn't talk too much all weekend, i can't compete with you dear :-) Rachel can compete with Dennis in talking on and on and on and on.... :-) Ok, one last thing about Friday night, the Tom Tom bros(not really brothers), when they get together with their friend Mitch, it gets really scarey, i can't believe there were underage people there to witness them ;-) They should have had a warning label or something :-) Ok, that was about it for Friday night, this was way too long so i'll continue with a post about the sleeping arrangments i was involved in... are you curious yet? :-) see ya soon..
