Sorry this is so long, but it's pretty funny... - ------------ 45 Things To Do At A Final 1.Bring a pillow. Fall asleep (or pretend to) until the last 15 minutes. Wake up, say "oh geez, better get cracking" and do some gibberish work. Turn it in a few minutes early. 2.Get a copy of the exam, run out screaming "Andre, Andre, I've got the secret documents!!" 3.If it is a math/science exam, answer in essay form. If it is long answer/essay form, answer with numbers and symbols.Be creative. Use the integral symbol. 4.Make paper airplanes out of the exam. Aim them at the instructor's left nostril. 5.Talk the entire way through the exam. Read questions aloud, debate your answers with yourself out loud. If asked to stop, yell out, "I'm SOOO sure you can hear me thinking." Then start talking about what a jerk the instructor is. 6.Bring cheerleaders. 7.Walk in, get the exam, sit down. About five minutes into it, loudly say to the instructor, "I don't understand ANY of this. I've been to every lecture all semester long! What's the deal? And who the heck are you? Where's the regular guy?" 8.Bring a Game Boy (or Game Gear, etc...). Play with the volume at max level. 9.On the answer sheet (book, whatever) find a new, interesting way to refuse to answer every question. For example: I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it conflicts with my religious beliefs. Be creative. 10.Bring pets. 11.Run into the exam room looking about frantically. Breathe a sigh of relief. Go to the instructor, say "They've found me, I have to leave the country" and run off. 12.Fifteen minutes into the exam, stand up, rip up all the papers into very small pieces, throw them into the air and yell out "Merry Christmas." If you're really daring, ask for another copy of the exam. Say you lost the first one. Repeat this process every fifteen minutes. 13.Do the exam with crayons, paint, or fluorescent markers. 14.Come into the exam wearing slippers, a bathrobe, a towel on your head, and nothing else. 15.Come down with a BAD case of Turet's Syndrome during the exam. Be as vulgar as possible. 16.Do the entire exam in another language. If you don't know one, make one up! For math/science exams, try using Roman numerals. 17.Bring things to throw at the instructor when s/he's not looking. Blame it on the person nearest to you. 18.As soon as the instructor hands you the exam, eat it. 19.Walk into the exam with an entourage. Claim you are going to be taping your next video during the exam. Try to get the instructor to let them stay, be persuasive. Tell the instructor to expect a percentage of the profits if they are allowed to stay. 20.Every five minutes, stand up, collect all your things, move to another seat, continue with the exam. 21.Turn in the exam approximately 30 minutes into it. As you walk out, start commenting on how easy it was. 22.Do the entire exam as if it was multiple choice and true/false. If it is a multiple choice exam, spell out interesting things (DCCAB. BABE. etc..). 23.Bring a black marker. Return the exam with all questions and answers completely blacked out. 24.Get the exam. Twenty minutes into it, throw your papers down violently, scream out "Forget this!" and walk out triumphantly. 25.Arrange a protest before the exam starts (i.e. Threaten the instructor that whether or not everyone's done, they are all leaving after one hour to go drink) 26.Show up completely drunk. (Completely drunk means at some point during the exam, you should start crying for mommy). 27.Every now and then, clap twice rapidly. If the instructor asks why, tell him/her in a very derogatory tone, "the light bulb that goes on above my head when I get an idea is hooked up to a clapper. DUH!" 28.Comment on how sexy the instructor is looking that day. 29.Come to the exam wearing a black cloak. After about 30 minutes, put on a white mask and start yelling "I'm here, the phantom of the opera" until they drag you away. 30.Go to an exam for a class you have no clue about, where you know the class is very small, and the instructor would recognize you if you belonged. Claim that you have been to every lecture. Fight for your right to take the exam. 31.Upon receiving the exam, look it over, while laughing loudly, say "you don't really expect me to waste my time on this drivel? Days of our Lives is on!!!" 32.Bring a water pistol with you. Nuff said. 33.From the moment the exam begins, hum the theme to Jeopardy. Ignore the instructor's requests for you to stop. When they finally get you to leave one way or another, begin whistling the theme to the Bridge on the River Kwai. 34.Start a brawl in the middle of the exam. 35.If the exam is math/science related, make up the longest proofs you could possibly think of. Get pi and imaginary numbers into most equations. If it is a written exam, relate everything to your own life story. 36.Come in wearing a full knight's outfit, complete with sword and shield. 37.Bring a friend to give you a back massage the entire way through the exam. Insist this person is needed, because you have bad circulation. 38.Bring cheat sheets FOR ANOTHER CLASS (make sure this is obvious... like history notes for a calculus exam... otherwise you're not just failing, you're getting kicked out too) and staple them to the exam, with the comment "Please use the attached notes for references as you see fit." 39.When you walk in, complain about the heat. Strip. 40.After you get the exam, call the instructor over, point to any question, ask for the answer. Try to work it out of him/her. 41.One word: Wrestlemania. 42.Bring balloons, blow them up, start throwing them around like they do before concerts start. 43.Try to get people in the room to do the wave. 44.Play frisbee with a friend at the other side of the room. 45.Bring some large, cumbersome, ugly idol. Put it right next to you. Pray to it often. Consider a small sacrifice. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 May 1997 20:44:56 -0400 (EDT) From: Tigger3938@aol.com Subject: NJC_My Six Flags Great America Adventure Hello Sorry for this post with no meaning but I am freaked out because there is a tornado warning for the two counties I live on the border of( I am smack in the middle of them) so I thought to get my mind off of it would write On Saturday me and 5 of my friends Steve, Ben, Amy, Laura, And Becky went to Great America. We got there at 4:00 but we couldn't enter the park because Laura and Steve still had to buy there passes and Ben had to get his picture taken for his. The first ride we went on was the powerdive which is a canoe ride that goes upside down. Becky who is afraid of heights was pushed onto this ride. We then walked a while and waited to go on another one-it broke down so we left-we walked some more and went on a spinny ride-Ben got nachos and we all free-loaded off of him and went to see how much it cost do this bungee jumping thing-none of had enough money so we setled on walking to Burger King because park food is too much-I got a good picture of Steve eating-we then went to the bathroom where in one stall(the one that Amy went in) the giant roll of TP fell out of the dispenser. I got another good picture of Laura wearing it as a crown. Then we walked back to the park. We didn't go on the sidewalk instead a big grassy hill where you could see houses Becky thought it would be neat to get a picture of us in someone elses backyard. They got as far as this little creek/swamp thing and learned that there was a wire fence. There they found a blue ball-they took the blue ball as a sovineer. On the way back into the park in the parking lot there was Tony a guy who went to our school last year(I had this huge crush on him) I got a picture of him and his newely chiped tooth and went to go to the enterence. When we re-entered the security guard guy had to look in mine and Laura's backpack. Hidden in Laura's bag was the blue ball. He didn't say anything about it. It was really cold out by the time we had come back from Burger King you could see our breath in the air and none of us were wearing heavy coats. We went on some more 3 more rides and had to go home. See just as much fun as any EDA's going to SIx Flags (just kidding). I think we talked more then anything but planned to go back the week after next because Ben wanted to go on the new ride which last time I was here me and Amy payed Becky to go on it because she is as I mentioned before afraid of heights-if only I could of gotten that picture. ~*Christine*~ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 May 1997 20:52:29 -0400 From: pferland@rocler.qc.ca (L.a.e.a.) We needed a little humor around here! ~Peace ~Christy ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 May 1997 22:20:22 -0400 (EDT) From: Grrly1@aol.com Subject: My EDAdventure Recap Okay, i'm sure youre going to hear a lot of these stories, well at least i hope people will be posting them... Lets start with the night before, shall we? I got done with all my audio and video taping around 3am and decided to TRY and get soem sleep (TRY being the operative word here) i didnt fall asleep... I didnt come close... so around 5am i got up and turned on tv... not much on around 5am but Music videos (Oh no, whatever will i do? ;) So i stayed up, and braided my hair... (woohoo!) Jared Picked me up around 8am and on our way we go... we arrived at the park at 10:30am and looked EVERYWHERE for other EDAs... we walked around for about an hour.... then we called Tammys and Robs house... and got a Modem signal! at oh say around 11:30 or 12:00 we (okay, Jared...) spotted Rachel and Puddini. and then everyone else showed up together sort of... So I met like everyone... and i ACTUALLY remember everyones name! We All waited for the tram to take us to the safari bus, i got to know some of the EDAs... I bought a $1.50 can of soda! Then we went to the safari ($3.75 for an hour long bus ride with lots of Wild animals, and thats only INSIDE the bus ;) Erica (Puddini) Fell asleep during the ride, so did someone else... looks like i'm not the only one who didnt sleep the night before. We decided to grab a small lunch. i got an order of salt covered fries.... or was it just an order of salt? i cant remember. okay okay... the PARK... i'm getting to it. Thanks to Tammy we got in for only $20.00. We sort of stayed in a group... or groups... we just kept finding each other (I tried to avoid them, but they just kept tracking me down!) We went to see the Batman Forever Stunt Show... cheesy cheesy cheesy... and LOUD! then we all walked over to the Batman Ride... i thought about going on... then i thought about how valuable my life is to me ;) So Tegan, Christina, Stephanie and I opted for the safe route... We played Boardwalk games... i didnt win or anything... but i didnt lose too much money so i guess that counts as winning (?) Then stephanie and i went to look for a safe rollercoaster... we found skull mountain... it was a 90 minute wait on line! (they actually have signs telling you how long it will be, but I being the stupid kid decided "well hey 90 minutes isnt that long!" HA!) so we waited on line... and waited... and waited... we Finally got on the ride... it sucked like really bad... and hurt my neck... We went on to find the others, they were sitting by a "restaurant" (Should we REALLY call it that?), one that sells $5.00 hamburgers... well my dinner consisted of Popcorn, a $5.00 souveneir Soda and a Churro (Really big Cinnamon stick). That was about 7:00pm and most people were about ready to leave, and so was I, until we found out that Ted could get us on rides without waiting on line (I love ted!, hes so cool, he got us on the good rides!) so a small group of us stayed. and thats when the REAL fun started! I finally got up the courage to go on the Batman Forever ride... (okay i was pushed into having the courage) and I was so freaked out about it... (have i mentioned i dont like rollercoasters?) but the ride was awesome! Then we went to Mach 1... a Quasi-ride, where you sit in front of a huge imax screen and the seats move around and well you feel like youre a pilot in a really cool fighter plane. by this time my throat was raw from screaming, what better time than to Go into a recording booth and make a tape! 4 of us (Eric "Crashboy, Lauren Bond, Christina Ferrara, and I) went into the soundbooth... and Christina saw some friends she knew from when she worked at the park. we got into the booth and recoreed "You were meant for me" and "Who will save your soul", YWMFM went great, harmonies were right on, and i really liked it and then for WWSYS Eric decides to get a little experimental and uses his "Deep manly voice" so everyone is laughing and getting really crazy on this song... when the song was over and we thought they had stopped the tape We were all discussing how much it sucked... and then one of christinas buddies came on the little intercom thingy and they started screaming "Mumra!" at each other... (Bunch of crazy savages in this town!) anyways, later we found out that whole "We suck" conversation made it onto the tape! haha, well it cost $19 to record two songs, but it was worth it! then we headed out to Tammy and Robs house... Does anyone have a CD recommendation? I finally have joined a CD club and > I want to know if any of you have any ideas on anything worth buying. If possible, get Ani DiFranco, Living in Clip, or Patty Griffin, Living With Ghosts. Both powerful vocalists, guitar driven music. Chelsea ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 May 1997 22:59:53 -0400 (EDT) From: Grrly1@aol.com Subject: My EDAdventure recap 2 We somehow piled into Jareds Jeep and Lauren took a nap. Pud looked ready to pass out and my face hurt (i'll explain later) we Got to Tammys house and there were people all over the place! tammy has a great house... well she DID before we got there and covered the place from floor to ceiling with blankets ;) Chelsea was on the phone with the EDAs when i arrived... everyone was passing the phone around talking to her, but i had to call my dad and made her get off (sorry bout that chels) We all gathered in the living rom for a poetry reading by Stephanie (this girl not only writes with emotion but she practically cries when she reads it, it was an amazing thing to witness) I almost cried myself. I had wanted to read a poem of mine after everyone ate their pizza, but no one gave me a chance... i'm going to post it later, but i had Really wanted to read it to everyone :( So we ate our Pizza and then everyone just sort of broke off into groups, i was wandering from group to group. I started a conversation with Russ (Rebel without a clue) about that internet stock thing with Jewel and somehow ended up talking about movies. I called my dad back around 1am and begged him if i could stay overnight at tammys house, i was completely surprised when he said yes (it was more like "do what you want, you never listen to me anyways" ;) so i got happy! and rejoined the others in the living room where we had an EDA meeting to talk about charities and such... heres a little piece of advice, if Dennis harris ever says to you "Okay now i'm gonna make this short" RUN!!! he likes to talk... then again so do it... just not in front of 40 people... then it was time to watch the hot dog fest video, as soon as the two guys (Dennis and rob) figures out how to work the VCR (At this point i got some great shots of dennis' Butt. I will get lots of duplicates for any interested parties ;) I also got some Shots of Mr. Harris's face, but those are not half as incriminating... then again mabye they are... They finally got the video to work, and iwent to the bathroom to discover i had a BRIGHT RED face! My lips were the color of wine and my nose and cheeks looked like i had used a red marker across my face (A bit too much sun that day...) at least that explained why my face hurt. my hair was just horrible so i wore my hat for the rest of the night. In the middle of the hotdog fest tape i got tired of sitting so i went upstairs to where The guest room is and about 3 people had gathered... then everyone else followed... I think everyone else went to bed around 3am. but Steve (not poltz) and Lauren decided to play guitar on the patio. I went along, but since i dont play guitar i just sang. Tegan told us to go out to the garage because she was trying to sleep (why would anyone want to do that?) so we went to the garage... and tammy came out to hang with us. she stayed for about an Hour and a half until she realized she was supposed to be up at 6:30... and then lauren followed. i was tired but not so tired that i wouldnt stay up. Erica joined us in the garage a few minutes later with a guitar (am i the ONLY one who doesnt play???) so they tried to figure out jewel songs while i fed them the beat... it didnt work very well. but we did sing! I think we finally went to bed around 5:30... i nearly tripped on about 4 people on my way to the living room only to find someone had taken my spot on the floor! so i slept next to the couch... i woke up at 8:30 and immediatly started taking pictures of people as they woke up (got some really nice shots of you guys yawning ;) Okay, at this time i have had 3 hours of sleep in the last 2 days... but i was totally awake for about 5 minutes... then i started to get sleepy... we went for breakfast at IHOP... and i found out that i;m the only one who drinks Cranberry juice and Puts Syrup on their bagel... we went back to tammys house and i put on the Hitchhiker Joe video... eeryone had been talking but to my suprise the entire group swarmed to the living room for this... When jewel came on the screen i heard quite a few gasps, although i dont blame you, its shocking how much shes changed since then. she looks great with darker hair, although i think it was the lighting of the shot that made it look really brown. then everyone else left for paintball (i think i'm rushing through this now) so We did the hugs and goodbyes thing... and then we were left with Tammy, two toms, mitch and Steve, and one very entertaining little girl... (Tammys kids are cute) While Horter was Trying to Coerce Tammy into the bedroom with him ;) Mitch and tom were getting worn out by Tammys children. and I was busting a gut laughing. Then Horter started hitting on Tom O'brien... they drove off together right after Horter and O'Brien were holding hands, they were all over each other, get a room geez! heehee ;) Then Jared drove steve and i home... i went to sleep around 2:30pm, and woke up at 9:00pm to write this. the end...
