Hi! Last night, I was watching some old Jewel videos that I recorded, like the Charlie Rose Show and the performance on the Jay Leno show, and I was just really touched. It's so hard to not believe she is an angel sent to us from God. Mark (sparksmark@juno.com) I'm sorry that Jesus died for my sins, and I swear to God it won't happen again - --Jewel "Sometimes It Be That Way" ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Mar 97 00:46:21 EST From: Burkeman Subject: Re: JEWEL WANTS EVERYONE TO REQUEST "FOOLISH GAMES"!! It is a great song and deserves to be on First of all, I would like to say that the following is based upon my meager radio experience and could be entirely inaccurate. I'm not sure if it has been released to radio stations yet. Stations that are on album formats that have POY can play it all they want to if they wanted to if you called them. But many stations (top 40 & adult contmeporary) depend on companies like TM century for their music which is distributed by singles compiled onto weekly CDs. Or, they play the promo singles sent by Atlantic. This goes for stations who chart by single. So a lot of stations probably don't have Foolish Games in their studios yet. Of course, they may have just gotten it. But I'm pretty sure it's not out yet, because YWMFM is still charting very high. Once again, radio friendly people who can correct what I said, please do. - -tim 'burkeman' - --------------------------------------------------- Tim Burke tburke@mail.heidelberg.edu "Excuse me while I get drunk from watching too much bad TV"- Jewel "You're too young to drink alcohol."- Steve Poltz - --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Mar 97 00:49:48 EST From: Burkeman Subject: Re: Fwd: I DISAGREE. Is this why there was a Tori Amos unplugged? (I think this beats both qualifications: Tori regularly performs in intimate settings and although she had a harpsichord, (& an electric guitar) I don't believe her unplugged performance was anything out of the ordinary.
