Angels- I just heard on the radio this morning (107.1FM here in LA) that tickets for both shows at the Wiltern (April 2-3) are going on sale this Saturday. Don't know what time. The radio station is also starting to give away free tickets to the show before the Saturday sale date. I live in Southern Illinois and checked the TV Guide and it has Charlie Rose on PBS at 11:30 PM This Saturday March 1st. I think that is the date. Can anyone confirm if this is the one with Jewel or not?? Also I was watching Letterman last night and they showed a ad for a Grammy preview they will be doing tonight Directly following LATE NIGHT W/ Lettermen. It said they would interview nominees and stuff. Well I noticed it showed Jewel along with some others in the preview/clip of music. Now I'm not saying she will be on there 4sure but who knows. So I just thought I'd let ya'll know. Also did anyone else notice that on the Preview thing or ad thing for the Grammy's on the TV station it's on (CBS NBC) wahtever...anyway they didn't have a clip of Jewel anywhere. I thought that was a rip. Well Letterman's clip had jewel so that's why i was hoping she'd be on. Anyway...a couple more things...if Ashe Mayfair could please e me I'd appreciate it...along with Ray Wong e mail too. I know I know I'm horrible for losing the addresses but I needed to tell ya about the tapes I sent ya. One more thing.....I am going to be going to the St. Louis concert and I'm wondering if people are getting together or not. I spent last night tossing and turning, and after being inspired by Ricki Lake this afternoon, I've decided to tell you all the truth... Selena, Duff, and I are sisters. Yes, yes, it's true. Please, allow me to expain. My father- no, OUR father- was a bit wilder in his younger days. At the tender age of 18, he joined the Army and was stationed in Sweden. A beautiful young Swedish women stole his heart, and his wallet ( yes, in that order ) but not before our own "Greek Goddess" was born. Selena's Mom followed my father back to the United States, but unfortunately got the really long state names of Massachusetts and Pennsylvania mixed up. She turned to Amish life for consolation and Selena grew up with her bonnett always in hand... and feeling somewhat confused. My father left the service and started working in Boston, fixing clocks. Along came a firey redhead that completely threw my father off kilter. He was beguiled by her Irish fire and strong personality. Unfortunately, she was just using him for the sex, and when she found out she was pregnant, she moved to Missouri to get the hell away from him. Duff was raised in a slightly unconventional household, with her so-called father growing pots of Ankhs in the basement. My father, heart broken once more, returned to the Jewelry shop where he had bought Duff's Mom's engagement ring ( too bad she'd never seen it- it was kinda small so she'd have probably said no anyway. ) and, lo and behold, my mother was working there. It was her father's shop. Loved bloomed once more, and this time my father actually married the mother of one of his children. Strangely enough, both Selena and Duff's mother's kept the last name of Martin for their children. Maybe it was through a sense of nobility, maybe it was some sort of stupidity, and it certainly suprises me that Duff and Selena never asked why they had different last names from the rest of their families. Last month, my father choked on a chicken bone. Thinking he was at Death's door, he told me everything. Fortunately, the "bone" turned out to be an ice cube, and he made a complete recovery. *sigh* So now you know. I hope you do not think any less of me, or my sisters, or my father.
