We are going to congregate at the Corner Mall eating area starting whenever the first people show up, until at least 6pm. We can then decide on where to eat. If you get there late we will see you at the concert. The entrance to the Corner Mall is right next to the front door of the Orpheum. Just go down the alley and you will see the giant sign saying Jewel. Go to the end of the alley and go into the door next to the Orpheum. A good place to park is the Boston Common garage. If you park there walk diagonally across the Boston Common towards the Park Street T station. You will see a large chruch. Go across the street. There is a Buck-a-Book next to the alley. If anyone has any questions, e-mail me. Hope to see you all there. There should be about 25 people. See you on Friday. The end of the road. You are almost out of chences. You have one chance left. At 3:00 Friday I will print out the messages for Jewel. If I don't get your message don't come crying to me. Now for the begging. The Grammy Wishes for Jewel program started out as a hope, but now it has turned into a reality. I have received many wonderful messages for Jewel, but I know there are hundereds of you who haven't done anything. It is pretty bad when more lurkers than posting members of the list participate, and write messages to Jewel. Please if you haven't written anything DO IT NOW. I want more messages. There are only two ways your message can get to Jewel before the Grammy's. Either you could go to one of the five sold out shows before the Grammy's (which for some of you would mean thousands of dollars in expenses) or you can send your message to me, and I will give it to Jewel along with all the other touching, moving, beautiful, wonderful letters. Just think of the money you will save by participating. So do it now, we need your support. Thank you for your ear, and your time. Chris (beggingly yours) Snyder P.S. If you haven't heard before, yopu send me your Grammy Wishes for Jewel. I then give Jewel a bound book including messages from everyone who participates. Jewel then gets a big smile when she reads the book. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Feb 1997 02:33:03 -0500 (EST) From: gegertha@tiac.net (Chris Snyder) Subject: Grammy webcast info Hi Angels I got this from Apple and thought it might intrest some of you. It was a simultaneous IRC/WWW chat over irc.webmaster.com, channel #EDA, and worked pretty well under Internet Explorers 3.0 and 3.1, and Netscape 4.0 (believe it or not) as well as pIRCh and mIRC. It *did* make my Netscape 3.0 crash. The question becomes if our friends at AOL can jump into it.. I need comments on this. A lot of you have been providing me with them, and I appreciate it, but what would really help would be if you tried it out yourself, both going to the web page and trying the IRC, even if no one is in there, just to see if it works on whatever interface you access the 'net with. (sorry, all you Lynx-heads, still no solution for us... yet.) There are other developments which circumvent IRC, plans I applaud since I'm not a big fan of the IRC concept... but if it means ALL EDAs, young, old, smart, dumb, east coast, west coast, Guam, Norway, Pluto, wherever & however you access the Internet you can come together and discuss the reason why we're here, to be Everyday Angels. Thanks for your time, hope you appreciate the time a lot of people are putting into this. ...tim 'burkeman' - --------------------------------------------------- Tim Burke tburke@mail.heidelberg.edu _______ ___ ___ | | | > "I move across the | | |--\ earth in my new | \_/ |__/ pattern shirt...
