Nooo....Because i was afraid of people thinking i was wierd if i listened to different music. thankfully i discovered jewel before she became "popular" and i can proudly say i wasnt following the trend. so um...thats it...my two pennies. I have heard that she allows taping. I want to know the low down. Has anyone taped before? Will the venue know that she allows it? Can I use a mic stand? Video? I heard that you can video, but it seems doubtful. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to take a big risk here, and recommend Deana Carter's "Did I Shave My Legs For This?" TECHNICALLY, she's a country singer, but we gotta be open minded here:-) Threre're alot of people who don't normally like country who like her. I even know other Jewel fans who like her. Plus it's a lock for the "Best Album Title of the Year" award, and "Strawberry Wine" is one of my favorite all time songs. Of course, I'm assuming you all already have "Jagged Little Pill". If you don't, go out and get it. Right now:-) - --Shaun ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Feb 1997 00:20:21 +0000 From: "Andrew Fu" Subject: What Are Tracks on the New Album? How do I know this? Did I ask her? No! I am just incredibly intelligent and an astute listener. In "Painters" she sings "They thought blueprints were too sad, so they made them yellow" In "Adrian", she sings "Yellow flowers decorate his bedroom." And of course, there's the above quote from "Carnivore." And in both songs, she really stresses the word yellow. I've never heard "Carnivore" (poor, deprived me), but I bet she does in that too. Blue is mentioned alot too, but it is usually in a sad sort of say. And blue is a more common colour anyways. Has anyone actually asked her what her favorite colour is? The next time any of you see her, do you think you could ask? Just gotta point out one more Amazing Observation about colour. In the poem "Leaving Las Vegas" the word Blue is capitalized, and it's in the middle of the line. In Thirza's message, Blue is also capitalized, and almost nothing else is. I don't know what I'm trying to prove. Just sharing my incredible mind with the world. You know, this post proves how much you can say about nothing. My parents always say I talk too much. Sorry for wasting space, just had to share my remarkable observations :-) - --Shaun, the Incredible Colourologist ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V2 #84 **************************
