The ABC song was incredible. They were great. We talked with them before and after the concert. They did a lot of mellow songs and Steve told a lot of stories about their tour back east. He was really amazed that Greg had spread the word about the concert back in Indianapolis. He said he really had fun flinging Taco Bell burritos to the Christmas carolers. Steve mentioned that he was driving solo on Christmas Eve listening to someone I didn't recognize the name of. That kind of bummed me out to think that he spent his Christmas on the road. I encourage all Southern CA EDA's to go see them at one of their upcoming concerts. They're worth it. We'll be going to the Java Joe's show and the Signal Hill show near Long Beach. Well, it was just some cheap ornament with fake gems (green and red glass). Darn! :( This isn't the first time this has happened to me -- when I saw 101 Dalmations, I jumped when one of the little pups was named Jewel, for example. And whenever I see something that says "Angels" I think of you guys. The other day a Christian book store had a whole display of books about Angels, and I swear that for a split second I thought I'd see a book about Dennis Harris or Selena! My friends and relatives now roll their eyes at me constantly, because my sentences often begin with either, "I have this friend on the Jewel mailing list who ..." or "Did you know that Jewel ..." She then handed the poetry to me and said, "read it and tell me if it's good" So I started to read it and I couldn't, she wrote really sloppy. The only thing I could make out was something about Emotional Jake... so I changed the subject because I was embarrassed. I started talking about the contest. She said the prize was a free round trip plane ride from San Diego to any island in the Pacific Ocean. So I naturally said, "you're coming to Guam right?!" *then I woke up* ;p hopefully we have a psychic connection and she'll recieve that information... :) oh yeah, I've started to tab Absence of Fear. Anyone out there who plays guitar or tabs music. Write me and help me out. I've gotten alot, but there's some parts in the chorus I can figure. I been playing for 4 months so I may be pretty stupid at times :) Write if you want to contribute, Love Kerry ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 30 Dec 1996 19:48:13 EST From: mad_monk@juno.com (David M MacLeish) Subject: Re: sjc: w/ njc. Seems that dreams have been proven to come from one side of the brain and that reading skills come from the other (i'm just crossing my fingers and hopeing that this dosn't start up that Righy Brain/Left Brain thread from back around thanksgiving ;]). Don't ask me where i picked this up. Maybe it was school. Just goes to show the eductional power of cartoons, I guess. It was the one where the Mad Hatter put Batman in that dream reality to keep him out of the way. And he was trying to read the paper and all the words where like: HDfkjhaaahf HLKFklajh. It said "import" on the cover, so that's what I thought it was. I thought it was weird to see the record company listed as "Snow Records" though. I feel bad now, because I didn't know that Jewel wouldn't be paid for it. I'll be more careful next time. Thanks for warning me!!! I thought it was "Chime Bells"!!! But it says China Bells Ringing on the cover!!:( Enough about that because I know I'm not supposed to be talking about this. If it's an import, will it still say "Atlantic" on it? Yes, I'm new, I've been on here about a week and a half, now. And I love it!!! You guys are so cool!! Thanks for the info, bye everyone!! Happy New Year!!! from, Kim P.S. And as for inheriting the Earth, keep the hope alive. Maybe the original scroll for that passage (Umm, Matthew 5:something) (and no, I didn't learn that from The Batman Adventures ) read "and blessed are the geeks..." but a smudge resulting from a monk's coffee spill changed the g to an m (and the s just sort of ran away or something.) You never know. Hey Angels, Well the time is arriving. As of now, I have the following people attending. If anyone wants to attend, I suggest reading (T H E O L D) first. Bob Damis Tom O'Brien Pete Wang Anthony Amato Rachel Kramer Bussel Gerrit Kruidhof Jared Jacobus Katherine ============================================================================ T H E N E W: I guess you Angels need directions to my place. Well this is the deal. Basically I suggest you go to an online trip planner like Cyber Atlas. Here is the URL (http://www.delorme.com/cyberatlas/index.htm#ROUTER). Follow the directions. For a destination City, type Commack and State, NY. As for the directions to my house, there is a few changes that will be made (you will get here quicker when I send you the update). If we all use the planer above, it will be easier for me to just send out a general Email depending if you are coming from the East or West of Commack. For an update in directions, send me an E-mail with (RE:Directions) in the subject line. I'll then send you the directions with the adjustment and my phone number in case you want to contact me, have trouble or get lost. The next thing is that my School is about to upgrade it's system so my E-mail will be on and off on Monday. If this is the case, I'll mail you from my other account at Juno and you can contact me at (everydayangel@juno.com). If you want to be safe, I suggest CC'ing the message to my juno account and my school account at (btanoue@ic.sunysb.edu). Eventually I'll get your message and there shouldn't be many problems. BTW, I talked to Katherine and Jared and we came up with a cool idea. I'll tell you all about it when I get your (RE:Directions) Email. If anyone is willing to give an Angel a ride, write that in your Email. Also note how you will get here (ie. train, car, ferry, etc.) so I can make special arrangements. Looking Forward to seeing you all :) An EveryDayAngel, Bryan. ============================================================================ T H E O L D: Here is the real deal.
