I have read 200 messages and my head is spinning. I've noticed some strange stuff going on and I don't get it. My house burns My principal turns frosty cold towards me Nancy's migraines continue Nancy hits a car Insurance company doesn't send a big enough check to cover the hotel Nancy has no slip dresses for the stores she supplies because 130 of them were smoke damaged and they want them now One of our dogs is still at the kennel because only small pets are allowed And now the netscape I'm using is doing peculiar things. Has anyone ever received someone elses email and not by cc. You see there is this message and my addy isn't even in the header anywhere although my server is. My netscape doesn't attach the same way either. for example on my Playboy update I pasted the running totals and attache the url and when I received the message back through the list the usual blue url wasn't there but the whole darn playboy page was viewable right there in the body. I've never seen that before. I've had them open on their own but that takes me to the browser. I'm confused and I'm wondering why. Oh yeah. I bought my first computer last year although I've been using them at school ever since vic 20's were around. I ran up a couple of bills and then all of a sudden they were payed off. Now this happened about the time I joined this list and I've been wondering if this had anything to do with it. Now I'm a very upstanding citizen but have you ever tried convincing a company that you owe them money. It's insane. Now I just want to say that I'm not complaining. I have a wonderful wife(the best ) and a great son and two wonderful step daughters. I am a very happy person in general. I'm just not used to chaos. I like logic but I'm not a zealot. the only things I can say that I'm really passionate about are my wife and being passionate. The list has become an interesting part of our lives. Nancy will read over my shoulder to see what Igor has to say. She is so worried that the EDA's we met will think she is unfriendly despite all my reassurance that they understood her mood was affected by our transitional situation. There are so many new people to the list and I just want to say welcome. Thanks for listening I really don't expect anyone to really read this. Like Igor said there will be things we wish we never emailed well this is one of them.I'm still compelled to send it. If nothing else, she would have a good laugh about it. Playboy is NOT a pornographic magazine, but embodies many things about our culture and certainly has more than just pictures to offer. This is how it has managed to remain popular and in generally good stead for the last 40 years. I would think that an award from Playboy would be as good as an award from any other magazine, as it still reflects her popularity and shows that people are supporting her and she is making a difference. I don't think she would discern that she doesn't want to be popular with the kind of people that read Playboy, as that is a very stereotypical and poor way to view the matter. Hey Angels, I have consulted with Katherine(Angel) and Jared(SuperDeformed Angel), and we have finally come to a conclusion on when to have the Meeting. I have decided on January 4, 1997. It is the first weeked of the New Year. Now I need to know who will attend so that I can work out rides and places to stay if needed. I know alot of you don't have transportation so we came to this conclusion. We will meet at my house which is located in Commack, New York (It's on Long Island). I live near all the major Highways, Ferrys and Train Stations. We will give directions after we find out who is coming and for where one is leaving from. This way, we can tell you the quickest simplist way to my house. After Arrivial, we'll hang of course talk Jewel and maybe get some food. Later that night or after dinner, we can get coffee at a local Coffee shop called Romancing the Bean. Every night, they have live accoustic music. It's a nice place. Basically, I need to know who wants to go; so please send me info. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ANYONE ON THE LIST WHO WANTS TO ATTEND NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE!!!! Sorry, I need this stuff again :) Name and Screen Name Place of departure (City, State) Phone # Once I know who is going, I'll send another Email with COMPLETE INFO. So far, $205.09 has been received, with a goal of $350 (the cost of an additional drive on the server). If EVERYONE who has responded to me thus far follows through with a check, we should just make it. If you want to participate ($5, $10, whatever...), e-mail me for details. I want to forward the checks to Jeff by next weekend, but "straggler" checks will be sent into January as well. For all those who have donated, thanks very much! And if you're somewhat concerned about me getting your address, well, it's like the note Jon sent with his check: "...just because you have my address, doesn't mean you can stay at my house!" Or do like Selena did, and only divulge your post office box number (hey, it's all I'm giving you guys)... It's far better, IMO. They're focusing on her as a musician and getting people to know that she's a fabulous artist and not just another pretty face following in the "woman rocker" trend. Sam Goody publishes this magazine for in-store distribution, where they either sell it for $2.95 or give it away as a promo with any purchase. I happened to snag a large bundle of them on their way to the mall dumpster back in October. Anyway, it's a pretty cool piece, and if you want 4 copies, a $3 US Priority mail stamp covers the shipping costs (including an oversized tyvek mailer) for as many as 4 copies (maximum 2 pound limit).
