I have a 486-66 with 8 MEGs of RAM and a Soundblaster card. The only problem was that it cut off the first second of whatever I chose to have Jewel talk about. That is the really cool thing about it; there are about 6 different topics she talks about (including Jewelstock and this list). The screen shows a rough video of her singing or talking. I'd say it's marginally worth the $10, only because the audio is kind of scratchy, and the video is a little choppy. Or, you may have deemed Nashville stations unworthy of notice, mistakenly thinking that all Nashvillians are country music fans (Nashville is the self-proclaimed Country Music Capitol of the World). WRLT 100.1 (615) 737-0100 Adult Alternative format, including jazz, country, blues, and alternative (Sarah McLachlan, Eleanor MacEvoy, Jewel, etc). They've played YWMFM a couple of times, although it's not in heavy rotation like "Shadowboxer," which they seem to play incessantly. WRLG 94.1 (615) 737-9400 Modern Rock. Plays Green Day, Cranberries, 311, etc. Haven't heard YWMFM on this station, but Jewel visited both stations for interviews and live versions of WWSYS the first time she came to Nashville. This wasn't a hard feat, since they're sister stations, and are located in the same building. WRLT is called Lightning 100, and WRLG is called Thunder 94. I first read about Jewel in an article a few weeks ago in the local paper. I was impressed by her philosophy on life and, spurred by the accompaning photo, wanted to find out more. "Who Will Save Your Soul?" is currently charting here, so I got to see the clip on a music video show. I am also grateful for the many great Web pages dedicated to her. She is certainly a talented lyricist, composer, and entertainer. In my opinion some of her poetry also shows inspiration. If you haven't already done so, check out the poems titled "Infatuation" "Lost" and "As a child" at http://www.smoe.org/lists/jewel/angels/poetry.html . Two things I'm not so sure about. Her obvious breath intakes during songs (a la Alanis Morissette and Tori Amos); and song quantity drowning song quality. (Juat thought I'd mention these to stir up a bit of discussion.) The FAQ says she "recently visited Australia". If that means she toured and I missed her I will be very disappointed.
