I'm new to the internet, but not new to Jewel by any means. I recently subscribed to this mailing and am quite overwhelmed. It takes me a half hour a day just to read my mail. I would like copies of the Jewel tapes mentionned (Rare Angels and Innerchange). I am looking for DAT capabilities. I have something to offer! I have about 6 Jewel live DATS (3 of which are superb quality). These are live shows. I am not looking to profit by any means, I am looking to trade for other DATS. I even have a couple songs on them that I have not seen mentionned anywhere. It could just be a title thing. Anyway these are excellent quality and all I want is to trade I would never want to make $$ of of Jewel. In fact I've bought several copies of the album for myself and friends and family. I also have an extra copy of the Phyllis Barnabee CD to trade if preferred. In my last post I gave you guys a pat on the back because this whole thing was going well. Since then I didn't get a single new radio station nor a single story from someone who called. Help! Come on guys. Does anybody live in or know a radio station in any of the following cities? San Francisco Pittsburgh Charlotte Indianappolis(Greg & Toni) San Antonio(Dennis Harris) Dallas Portland Sacramento St. Louis minneappolis/St. Paul Las Vegas(Amber) Toronto(Dan Stark) New Orleans Toledo(Liz and Shelly) Have I made my point? Let's get some help here! I'm sitting in Long Island. I can play YWMFM once per show plus requests if and when I'm on WCWP 88.1 FM Brookville New York but that won't happen until Armand comes back. I don't know the names of radio stations all over the country but one angel in any given area can give me a number and get twenty more angels to call if they have the number. Who wouldn't otherwise bother to call. Help each other to help Jewel. Because you gave me a number doesn't mean you shouldn't call youself. Call and have a friend call. We need different voice around the country begging radio stations to play YWMFM. Think of the possibilities, Jewel could become the biggest singer in history and owe it all to five hundred of us. For those of you who do not know this, she opened for Jewel at the first night of Jewelstock; it is a shame that her wonderful performance could not be part of the tapes. She is on the road with the Badlees, a good enough band which did not, for me, stand a chance after her opening set (they sound alarmingly like Hootie and the Blowfish, which should hardly be anyone's aspiration). Her set was delightful, her voice as controlled and nuanced as those at the Jewelstock Thursday night will remember. I chatted briefly with her after and thought she looked worn and tired--been a grueling tour schedule, to all reports. ("Tonight after the show I get in a van and drive to Detroit. Sounds like fun. Bet you wish you were me, huh?") See her if you have a chance--you won't regret it. They hadn't gotten the Jewel issue when i checked, so i went to the mall and looked everywhere for it. Finally found the 8 1/2 x 11 magazine style issue in an obscure little software store that i wandered into. I'm happy i found it first, cause the pcture of Jewel is great! :) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V1 #683 ***************************
