The second thing is, when you get something directly for you (at least on my system) it is marked slightly differently, and so I am able to give it a higher priority, as should be with all things in reply to my thoughts, hopes, desires and so on. 42, Tuff On Fri, 27 Sep 1996, Dean wrote: > This is kinda silly, but it does bother me. At least you're on the right side of the planet to go to Jewel's concerts! Do you have any idea how long it would take before I might stand a chance of watching Jewel live? I see no chance of her going live in Europe for some time, and I would have to say it would probably take a few years before the idea of coming to Israel comes up. By that time I'll probably will have not only joined the IDF, but will have completed my service there as well. So unless I manage to gather some vacation time for a trip around the world, which would probably be in a few years' time, I won't be at a Jewel concert. So quit whining! Can I ask why there have been so many requests for repostings of the setlists? The JS tree tapes *HAVE* their own J cards, designed beautifully by Dennis, so everyone who dropped the post containing the songs won't need it just to be able to tell what songs are on the tapes... > if you missed the deadline for the tree, you might want to post publicly, > and a leaf who has the tapes might volunteer to adopt you :) I believe Mike already posted this several times, so I'll try to save him a little effort here: For those of you who missed the cutoffs, would you please WAIT until the first run of the tree has run it's course? While there are, no doubt, EDAs willing to help you, there are possibly at this moment, branches still waiting to receive their tapes. Remember that this is a 4.5 hour set of tapes. The chosen seeds are doing their best to make sure they make the best possible copies for their branches, which takes time. (a minimum of 45-50 hours, one might guess) If they've got the equipment to do it right, they probably have to work to pay for their audiophile addiction. ;) This could mean they're having to do all their copying in a few hours each night and giving up their weekends as well. And of course, the branches will also need time to finish their work. Then add in the inefficiecies that are inherent to the need to be physically mailing tapes around at each level. This isn't the biggest tape tree in the history of tapes trees, of course (just ask a deadhead or something), but it IS the biggest tree in the history of this list. There is more than enough confusion to go around. So please, Angels, be as patient and gentle as you can, and let your fellow Angels of the list tackle these first hurdles before they have to think about the remaining ones. I feel confident in saying there will be more chances for people to get a copy of these tapes.
