I was reserving any comments on it until I saw other posts, but it looks like I might have to be the first. I am sure fans will love it, and it is great that Suzanne stays true to her music, style, and talents. It does not show nearly the growth as 99.9, but I found it appealing. My favorite cut is, "World before Columbus". It is a total throw back to the Solitude Standing and the self titled debut material. Now my questions/comments directed to Suzanne fans and more importantly non-fans. Does anyone believe that "No cheap thrill" is a song that will get a lot of radio airplay? Is anyone disappointed by the lack of depth in lyrics from this song? (That could be just me because I am dense and sometimes don't relate well to songs.) Does anyone have an opinion of the likelihood of success of this single and CD? I think Suzanne is still a better story teller in most of her songs than Jewel, but her prose has slipped some. Anyways, I was just wondering some EDA opinions. Rob ------------------------------ From: pingman@asu.edu Date: Tue, 24 Sep 1996 12:08:29 -0700 (MST) Subject: JAVA JOES JUNE 10,1996! Here's a chance for you to come clean, get it off your chest. The first step of recovery is admitting you have a problem. I know *someone* out there must've bought a New Kids album, now's your chance to repent! Here's my most embarassing album: Vanilla Ice _To the Extreme_ At least I think that's the album title, I bought it like 5 years ago and haven't taken it out since (except to really annoy my brother on long road trips...btw, I still can sing all the lyrics to "IIB").
