(I dated an astrologist for some time at one time. But....) =) The following are my opinions about what signs are the ideal women for men to date and vice versa. These are brief outlays, not comprehensive at all. These OPINIONS are only that, and were arrived at over many years of deliberation. Females: on the cusp of Leo and Virgo. This girl is an independent girl, wise and powerful; yet one that views life with enthusiam and wonder; never takes themselves too seriously, living each day magnificently. She possesses the power and confidence of the Leo; and the curiousity and tenderness of the Virgo. Such a women will initially be intimidating to many men, but if the man sincerely perseveres he will gain the absolute love and loyalty of an exquisite being. This woman will most likely be a loner, though, in her heart, a hopeless romantic Males: Cancer and well, Cancer. Cancer are widely recognized to be the most spiritually powerful sign for males, namely because they are the feminine water sign. Water is THE life force (a very deep subject) and feminine is the female side. Making the ideal boyfriend. One very much in touch with the power of life (and how to make it work for him and others). Also a boyfriend very much in touch with women and how women think and feel- he understands them!! Imagine! Cancers are also very often financially sucessful and figuratively powerful (things that women seem to like). OK, that said, I want to reiterate that these are my opinions based on my understanding of astrology and my view of life and relationships. They can not be changed nor debated, as they are MY opinions, and subject to my own skepticisms. NOW. Throw all that in the waste basket. Because they are only sun signs and not the true nature of a person, only his/her astrological skeleton. To truely determine a person's path, experiences, and personality, one must look at the person's Ascending Sign (date and time of birth needed). This determines where he/she is on their spiritual path. This is the personality phase of the moment and is subject to rapid and drastic change. This is the meat of astrolgy. I will not digress any further. Thanks for letting me spout off. I could go on for pages, but that would be boring, and besides, I am way out of practice. Ahh! My Skittles casserole is about done! =) Crunch (this post was low on smiles so here ya go- =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) ------------------------------ From: Harrisbros@aol.com Date: Mon, 16 Sep 1996 02:23:32 -0400 Subject: NJC: JS tapes, rubber goldfish and such... ***Sinjin wrote: >>Speaking of Jewelstock tapes, I can't resist any longer...I have to know, "Can you hear us yelling stuff at Jewel?" I am back and in lighter spirits. Actually I never actually unsubbed from the list... just took a 5 day break. I am feeling much better now though and my grades have already improved due to my elimination of procrastination. Today I watched Clueless for the first time and heard "All By Myself" It is a very pretty song IMO. Is there a copy of it floating around ANYWHERE without the annoying jibber jabber of Alicia Silverstone? Ok...so I admit I enjoyed the movie. What I can't believe is that they are making a tv series about it for kids while in the movie they publicized pot smoking and sex....hmmmm....very interesting. Thus ends my JC. I now have my own radio show in the morning at my school and I get to play my own music!!!! Guess who I am dedicating my first show to? :-) You guessed it!!! 2 Pac Shakur!!! Just kidding....though his death was unfortunate. :-( My only problem is finding rare Jewel songs that have absolutely no controversial lyrics in them...after all this is a Catholic school. Darn it...I really wanted to play "My Own Private God's Gift To Women" If the song has even one word dealing with sex, drugs, or the occult my butt is on the line. !!!!! :P I heard Duncan Sheik's "Barely Breathing" on Windsor/Detroit's 93.9 The River (my fav station) for the first time. I really liked it!! You know what is also weird...I have been suddenly listening to Tori nonstop for the past few days...I am totally in love with "Me and A Gun". It has been so long since I have actually listened to these CDs and I am starting to get back into them again. Hey...I hear Shelly...we are REALLY looking forward to Temple!!!! I am skipping homecoming and Grease to go. I even had a date to homecoming...oh well. Hmm...Do you think Miss Kilcher will need a ride from Pittsburgh to Philly as we will be driving past Pittsburgh that night?? ;-) I can dream can't I? But Virgo's aren't about physical attributes or good luck or even much sexual prowess (hey... the sign represents a *virgin* of all things.) No, Virgo's are more centered around intellectual pursuits. Along with being analytical and intelligent, we have a strong propensity for spiritual values and idealism. You'll also never find a self-centered Virgo, More likely a Virgo would go out of their way to please someone. And you can always trust a Virgo. But you'll also find all the procrastinators, perfectionists, manic-depressives, and people with low self-esteem in Virgo. But when inspired we will strive to overcome our difficulties and emphasise the positive aspects of our personality. Also, no person can be reduced to a profile based solely on their sun sign. Or even anything in astrology, which doesn't take into account environmental factors like sociology and finances. Though if anyone cares to know, I've learned to do birth charts. But I'm nowhere near a professional or experienced astrologer; nor do I guarantee my interpretations to be accurate. Before you write us with any problems, wait & read the entire thing. We'll try to adress every possibility as reasonably as possible. As Mike has stated in his recent post, there will be "windows" of time that we encourage all listmembers follow when signing up. This is to prevent problems of being bombarded by everyone at once. At the end of the weeklong signup the Jewelstock Tape Tree will be PERMANENTLY closed. No requests will be taken from that point on. Now, before anyone gets upset, please consider what we have so-far accomplished by this method & realize how easy (at that point) it will be for you to get a set of tapes (if not able to follow the instructions for any reason). When the branches have sent thier leafs tapes, probabably many more (AND NO LESS!) than 350 people on this list will actually HAVE THE TAPES! We expect plenty of leafs as well as branches will be more than willing to share the "tree traditions" by running a set for folks unable to follow the instructions for ANY REASON. The spirit of sharing can continue at that point on a one to one basis. We can guarantee you that even if gotten from a leaf source, these tapes will be far better than anything thats previously circulated. Please understand that we have a lot of people freely donating time, energy & creativity into pleasing everyone. This isn't easy & the rules (we hate rules, too!) are the only way to accomplish as much as possible quickly & with some degree of organization. The instructions will be posted very shortly. The reason I am asking this is because if I don't recognize the name or EMAIL address of a Leaf's request, I have to check it per my alphabetized log of list members of Jewel, Jewel-digest and Jewel-news. (remember, a Leaf has to have been a member of one of the three Jewel mailing lists as of the date of my log: 12:01am EST Monday September 16th) I am positive I won't recognize many names (i.e. lurkers, infrequent posters-to-the-list etc) The list is partially alphabetized by EMAIL address, partially by name, partially by nickname/handle. If you change any of that, and I don't recognize your name/EMAIL address, I WON'T find it on the list where it should be and I would have to deny your request for tapes.
