She did it with her band, though, so maybe it's only on solo jaunts that she doesn't mess around with it. The REAL question is: why doesn't she ever play "Pale Shade of Grey"? I still haven't seen it included in any setlists since I pondered its absence a few weeks ago. And she DOES know how to play that one: I have an eyewitness account. Does she just HATE this song for some reason? That would be a tragedy, since it's one of her best -- in my opinion, her VERY best. Somebody needs to sort out this whole "YWMFM" single mess. No one has mentioned anything about when it would be -- or has been -- officially released to the stores or radio. I guess I'll go to Tower Records tomorrow and look for it. Primary target is "New Adventures in Hi-Fi", but I'll ransack the singles section. Hey baby, mind if I buy you a drink? Oops, wrong singles ... I ALMOST got my hands on a copy of "Save the Linoleum". A friend of mine in New York spotted a used "StL" at a shop -- for only $15 for that person who spent his life savings on it -- and e-mailed me if he should go back and get it. Well, quick as I could I wrote back "BUY IT NOW! HURRY! Please?" but ... sorry I can't resist ... ... by the time he got back he found / it already was goooooonnnne ... One of you crazy New York angels got it, didn't you? So I am once again without any memorabilia with which I can impress Miss Kilcher this October. Guess I'll have to rely on my natural charm.
