Maybe it comes from playing and practicing pieces by them over and over and over and over. Dvorak is wonderful as are a Bartok and Smetana, all slovak composers with patriotic tendencies. I'm not going to be lured off the list that easily. And yes I did use my spell checker to look up that word. So you think I'm stupid, ha. Well I am not so stupid as to not notice all the e-mail addresses with ".edu". That's right, you're starting to see my real purpose for being on this list. I am surrounding myself with brilliant minds. I read every post and I have learned so much from them. You ask "what have you learned, Igor". Well let me start by giving you some history. A good part of my life I have been a bad person, bad husband, bad father. I was so bad, I had a t-shirt printed with "I'M BAD" across the front. It's so much easier being bad. I was good at a few things. I was a good cheat, good liar and a good drunk. My days were alike, drink till your drunk, sleep, drink a pot of coffee and start all over again. People? I hated people. I interacted with thousands of people and they all thought they knew me, but I didn't want to know them. It is so much easier to not have friends. You have to work at keeping friends. As I walked through a town with one of my stores, someone was bound to yell out from a passing car,"hey, yo Igor, what's happinin". Or as someone walking past my store would read the sign , IGOR RECORDS, they would go into their best impression of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, hunching over and dragging one leg repeating, "Igor, Igor were are you". Then there's that remark about losing my internet provider. I guess you found out that my ISP was giving me a hard time getting another e-mail account for Erik, my son. He's the smarter, kinder and good looking one. Ever since a few EDA's have started sending him mail, he has been a new person. Each day as he comes home from work, he looks on his bedroom door for any mail I may have printed for him. If he doesn't see any, his first question is, "do I have any mail today". No Dean, your not going to get rid of me that easily. This is a new, kinder gentler Igor. But I'll forgive you for trying. For right now I'm going to go back and read your brother Dennis's posts. He's a genius. What a great understanding of the human spirit. When he's not being a sensative genius, he has me laughing out loud and in tears. He is someone I would be proud to have as a friend. Maybe you can learn from him. Well, what did I learn? I learned that a group of total strangers, brought together by a 21 year old singer, have blended like a hot band of musicians during that part of a performance when you would say, "they're really cooking now". You know that moment. I learned that Jewel trusted this same group of strangers enough to do a free show of mostly unreleased material. I learned this group had an incredible time at JS and then decided to unselfishly report back every detail in such a way, to those that couldn't go, that we would feel as if we had gone. I learned a group like this when attacked by an asshole, piece of shit, psycho "Bomber"(hold on Igor, listen to another Jewel song), I mean even a misdirected lost soul can't be hated, because he may be "Pieces of You".
