I picked up a brochure and lo and behold, Jewel was just added TODAY for Aug. 17. "There are quite a few tickets left," the girl said from one of those stupid movie theater microphones. The show is at 9PM, and ticket prices are: Advance: $12.50, Day of: $15.50. (What a deal! Their prices are usually high.) All tickets are general admission, and can be purchased through the Casino Ballroom Box Office at (603)929-4100, or any Ticketmaster (you probably will pay a transaction fee) at (603)626-5000 (in NH) or (617)931-2000 (in MA). It is now 12:00 AM Pacific time and not one post from Jewelstock. This looks like the first flaw I've seen on this list. The wall has been erected. They are the the haves and we are the have nots. We are now a divided group. Last time I checked that part of NY state, it had all the latest forms of modern telecommunications. With all those AOL list humans, someone could have used there account with a number close to Woodstock and let us know something. Hello out there. Is there anybody out there? My question to all that couldn't go is, do we forgive them when they get back? I say the only way we can is if they share with us every little detail. There probably isn't one person on this list that didn't want to go to Jewelstock. But I for one, felt I could live the event though all our friends at the event. After all, we got instant reporting on the Rosie show. Lets give them another hour. Jewel probably can't believe how great her special fans are, and is still singing her heart out. Or she is with everone else and took the party out to the parking lot and they are having a giant campfire. I know, she took them all back to the studio and is using them to do backup for songs on the new CD. Maybe she is reading the letters we sent and she came to the one I sent. She didn't understand what I meant. Kathy(my wife) hated it. "I can't believe it," she said. "You told the whole world that I fart and that I have a sissy husband that cries." Well all I can do now is hide away and hold back some more tears. Why wish I this? Read on, my friends ... I am one of the more responsible parties in Mr. Charles' indictment, yet I admit no guilt for my plentiful (well, not lately, eh?) minimally-Jewel-related posts. Individuals who join this list may be a little taken aback at first by the bizarre and seemingly irrelevant discussions that frequently permeate their mailboxes. The most important fact new subscribers must realize upon joining us is that the Jewel Mailing List is not merely a news service nor solely a forum for discussing Miss Kilcher and her music. Rather, this is a place for Jewel fans to gather, learn about and entertain each other WHILE talking about their favorite musician. A more business-like list would certainly be more efficient and less mailbox-clogging, but it would also not be nearly as much fun. I would buy one of the first tickets out of here, without hesitation, if the Jewel Mailing List lost the wonderful personality that makes this niche of the Internet such an enjoyable place to hang around in. And I am further inclined to believe it is this personality, this nature of the Everyday Angels, that brought an event as unique as Jewel's performances at the Bearsville Theater to fruition.
