I will have the photo scanned by the end of the week and send a copy out to everyone who has replied so far. I have had a HUGE number of request for the photo and really want to go ahed with it. I will keep you all up to date and if you are interested in a copy just let me know. If I do it I would like to them all at the same time.......... By the way.....some people have expressed a concern over the lack of money. I figure that I might get some 4x6 done also. These could be sent regular mail. I estimate about 5.00 for this. So if anyone was worried about the cost this might be an alternative....... If someone (such as our little Flake of Corn) could get a nice hard bound book at an art store, we could all sign it before the shows and it could be presented to her at the end of Friday's show, or something of the sort. each of us can bring personal books if we so choose. It occurred to me that I could be staying at the Pinecrest Lodge, or someone is at the HoJo, and be in a room very near or next to another JewelStocker and never even know it. Also, you may get out of your car in FUN downtown Woodstock, and not recognize a fellow JewelStocker. One thing that may help is an item on every JewelStockers' vehicle that will say they are a JewelStocker. What I want to suggest is that everyone put a blue ribbon (light or dark, what's the diff?) on either their antennae, a windshield wiper, luggage rack, or whatever. That way if you see someone get out of a car with a blue ribbon on it, you'll know it's a friend! If you see a car parked in front of the cabin or tent or room next to yours with a blue ribbon, you'll know it's a friend! Whaddya think? Am I crazy? I dunno who posted about the above subject recently. But all I have to say is stop!!! Be happy you can go, be happy it's only $15 (and it's for a good reason anyway), be happy that everyone going on Thurs. is probably going the next day. It's not like fans on Friday hate Jewel, it's just that they are not on the list. People go see others perform for a reason, and it's because they enjoy the music. You should be grateful Jewel is putting on any show at all. If you are going to whine and complain, do it somewhere where it might be warranted. Now onto lighter topics, there is a caseliner (cassette) label maker on sharewear. It's listed as either clin48.zip (or something like that). There's a bunch in there, but I don't think it's in color or anything like that. Wow. Crunchie Boy just gave me the BEST idea. Hey, everybody ? Crunch suggested that we give the original guest book to Jewel. But I was thinking... well, I know Jewel said she didn't really wants gifts, but this is a great idea... What if we put together a little book than we can all write in , telling her just how much her music means to us. I can bring with me a big ole hardcover journal book with a pretty cover, along with the unlined guest book. We can pass around the journal starting at 2, and we can all write our thoughts TO Jewel in it. Think about it. If you were a performer, wouldn't you LOVE a book like this ? It's better than a bunch of separate letters, because this would all be together. If you wanted to tell Jewel something you thought was way too personal to put on the pages of the book, you could bring a letter in an envelope and tape it to a page inside the book. I really think Jewel would love this. Does anybody else think this is a good idea ? I'd still do the guest book idea as I mentioned before (unless people think it's a dumb idea, but so far there's no objections). The best thing about this idea, I think , is that the Angels who can't come to the show can participate too. All the poor non-JewelStockers can send me e-mail directed to Jewel, which I will print out and stick it in the book with the rest of the stuff. Wow, I love this idea, considering I was going to write a letter to her and leave it in the stage, as I'm sure a few others were thinking. Email me with your thoughts on this one, guys, okay ?? oh wow. I gently torch you to cinders, yet it is painless. Everyone is just way too uptight. The idea for a social list would drain the very life source of Everyday Angels everywhere, that being personality. It is the slightly out of the ordinary day to day chatter that keeps us all friends. Well, my blowtorch has turned whisper, the flame slowly creeping back into it's canister. No one is in charge of this "community" we call a list, and I think separating any part of it would be like removing a limb. No News List and no chat list, pal. Just the LIST. It happens to me all the time with musicians and I'm really afraid this is going to happen to Jewel, which I know is unfair because she deserves all the success in the world.
